FlyTampa KBOS Boston Logan International

I have been considering purchasing this airport, as I am always impressed by the attention to detail in FlyTampa airports. However, I have noticed a graphical issue in at least three videos of this airport (including the official trailer) that is holding me back. That issue is strange black lines that appear and disappear in the water surrounding the airport. I know that this would drive me nuts, so I would like to know if this problem is evident for everyone, or whether it has been corrected?

The airport is easily one of the best but I have noticed the water lines that you speak of and never thought it had anything to do with FlyTampa as I've seen them in other areas too.

I do not think that it has anything to do with FlyTampa KBOS, but I know that it would annoy me if I saw them. That is the reason for my hesitation. I have not seen lines like that anywhere to date in MSFS, so I will need to check out the default airport on my PC to see if they are there.

I have PG off and I do not see any lines around FlyTampa KBOS.

Now, there are indeed some quays / docks sticking out from the land around FlyTampa KBOS, you can see them if you fly a circuit around the airport, but they are fairly well modelled and they are not the black cracks that are seen in certain areas.  I'm not sure if they are default scenery or a part of FlyTampa's.

One KBOS flight I'd like to simulate would be Azores Airlines...they fly...I think A321's from the Azores to KBOS.  I think from both LPLA and LPPD.  To me that is a really interesting flight, it's "sort of" a transatlantic flight but it's more of a "half-transatlantic" flight.  I'm not sure if I'd use the FBWA320 or the PMDG 737-700 to do it.

I have just made a quick drone check of the harbour near KBOS, and I could not see any of those black lines. Hopefully, I should be OK. On a side note, that is a very beautiful location. The scenery views should be cool when on final approach

Are there any freeware scenery packages of Boston available that do not require PG to be active? I do not know if there are any iconic bridges that are modelled in the default scenery.

Hi Christopher. Like others, I don't recall seeing anything similar to what you describe. Here's a recent video I made of arriving at KBOS, maybe it will be helpful for you...

Thanks, Howard. That looked really nice, and those weather conditions are similar to the ones that I used when checking out the harbour with the drone. I did not see any of those black lines in your video, so that is encouraging!
