February 7, 20242 yr a few days ago all of a sudden KLAX tarmac all pink...now has spread too all airport tarmacs only. Did some reading...Removed the community files / restarted the tarmacs are still pink. Then I deleated all the fs_base files in packages (77 gigs) restarted and it took almost 11 hours for the program to rebuild via update and guess what....tarmacs still pink. Then I checked DEV ON Debug Console errors....very few shown nothing related to textures or tarmac. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
February 7, 20242 yr Pink is usually a sign that texture files are missing (usually from an addon scenery). DX12 sometimes throws up some anomalies though, so worth running in DX11 to check (I've been finding more and more grass patches on my runways and taxiways than ever of late which I suspect might be due to some of the nvidia and dll files i've been swapping into my flight simulator/content folder (so you may want to check any of those and revert to your defaults to test). February 7, 20242 yr Author Was just thinking about it I did download some never updated items that were in the CONTENT. Maybe it was one of those things.
February 7, 20242 yr I have not seen pink tarmac, but I have seen a pink airliner a couple of times. I assume that means that there are missing textures in the AIG package? February 7, 20242 yr Yes pink means a json file is missing. Every texture has an associated .json file now. I guess it could be the texture itself as well | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
February 7, 20242 yr It happened to me once with Orbx airport. I tried all suggestion until by pure accident I uninstall airport that actually caused a conflict. No sure what it was but I believed it renamed stock textures causing anomaly. So if you recently install some other add on or mod. Try uninstall it to see if it solve LAX texture problem Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). February 7, 20242 yr Yeah, I got that with one of my addons files for the Montreal area. When you re installed your community files did you do it one by one. Ron Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

February 7, 20242 yr Author It seems to be KLAX and a little road around burbank. All other airports including SFO and SAN are just fine. So I am going to delete Asobo Los Angeles fold all together and see if it rebuilds on it own. Ill be back
February 8, 20242 yr Author nothing worked...even loaded sim with nothing in community folder and had the sim rebuild deleted asobo KLAX still bright pin all over parking areas and grassy areas of the runways,
February 8, 20242 yr Man, I wish I could remember what I did. I remember I completely reloaded MSFS like you and it did nothing. Several times I emptied my community and still nothing. So I also did something else. or I just got lucky. I keep thinking I waited for a MSFS update. Emptied the community folder before doing the update and then slowly filled the community folder again after the update. Going back over and over again at the same airport I know was problematic until I found the culprit. Ron For me it happened with the payware CYUL airport so I took it off and the problem went away. I was so happy, but then I started getting it at other airports. I feel for you. I really wish I could remember more. Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.
February 8, 20242 yr Author really kind words....what Im doing now is I have completely deleted the package file and letting the system reload it through the premium purchases upgraded version...if that doesnt work I will do what you did.
