It did show on desktop before and I could reconfigure without starting MSFS.

Edit: Well, sometimes it shows on desktop and sometimes it dont.

I can sort of get it to do what you say in that when I select Show it doesn't pop the window up, but it does show on the task bar as minimised and if you click on that icon the window does show. This is slightly different to the way it used to work by showing the window again with the one step, but at least it can be shown with the second step.

I will take a look and see if I can restore the original behaviour of a single click to show the window.

Edit: Its not a big deal really but a single click is better for everyone I think

After much code logic wrestling, I think I have achieved the single click window restore the app used to have with the close to system tray install option. Please try out test 14 or later here: https://github.com/ResetXPDR/MSFS_AutoFPS/releases/tag/v0.4.4.2-test

Let me know how that goes.

I've also added one small improvement to test 14 for sys tray icon users and that is to have the installer default to updating your app with the sys tray icon option already checked if that is the option you currently have installed.

Note if you were the one person who downloaded test 13 before I could update to test 14, yes I know the app window incorrectly showed test 12. It has now been corrected to show test 14 for test 14. 😁

Single click -> OK -> Everything OK

Test 14 is the final test before release and please do not touch it anymore.

Well, I'm hoping not to have to touch it but I may still have to.

I have one user telling me that they are experiencing freezes up to 1 minute in MSFS 2020 from version 0.4.4.1 onwards, which I am unable to reproduce, no one else has reported this behaviour (but that's possibly because we are the only two people left on the planet using this app and MSFS 2020 😄) and there is nothing obvious that I can tell that I have changed in recent times that affects the actual MSFS settings' automation, which is the only way this app could cause such freezes, so I have been stumped for days on this one. If I do find the issue and make a fix, that could make it in to a final test build.

Can confirm the single click sys tray is working perfectly in version 14

Program is working great in MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 , great work as usual.

Also tested without the sys tray enabled and the program is closing fine. I actually have got used to it without the sys tray option so i'll probably stay with that but its great that you have both options.

Once again thanks for all your hard work , wont fly without this in either sim.

I am assuming you are using one of the FPS automation methods. If so, then the Average Descent Rate determines what the altitude band is above Alt TLOD base is before TLOD Max is allowed, as follows:

• Avg Descent Rate- Used in combination with FPS sensitivity to determine the altitude band in which TLOD will be interpolated between TLOD Min at the Alt TLOD base starting point and the lower of TLOD Max and the maximum TLOD your system can achieve while achieving at least your desired FPS target at a calculated top altitude. (200fpm - 10000fpm allowable)
  • This band ensures that, if you descend at your set Avg Descent Rate or less, that the app can decrement TLOD from TLOD Max to TLOD Min by the Alt TLOD Base without exceeding the LOD Step rate associated with the FPS sensitivity level you have set.

With a multiple view setup running on different computers, it would be hard to get consistent results unless the computer specs and your AutoFPS settings are exactly the same. Is this the case?

 

Since I am using the Map Enhancement Mod with Latest Bing in HD ( 2x sharoer than the default ground textures ) I am experiencing this.

AG = Autigen (houses, trees )

So when batches with AG are being loaded in my Front view pc it gradualky blends in from the distance.

While with the Left Viee pc it suddenly appears at the right part of the monitor and passes faster towards the left. 

The same effect when driving a car on the highway. You can read traffic boards in the distance before you but looking to your left they appear and are gone in an instant.

Now I see what you mean. To be fair, what you are asking of the side views is a pretty tough ask. Has it always done this or is this something new with one of the latest versions? If the latter, with which one did it start doing it?

Simpel I am starting to use HD textures I am experiencing this.

Flying over large cities at 4000 ff with TLOD value of 200 is sometimes very heavy for the Left View pc ( [email protected] / 4080 / M2 ssd)

All I can suggest at this time is having a lower TLOD Max for that view if you are using HD textures.

That is what I was thinking too so therefor I am looking for a TLOD that starts increasing from 2500-3000 ft and upwards. Now with 1000 ff and TLOD ‘min at 50, it shows TLOD 200 at 4000 ft already. And when a large AG batch suddenly appears I get this stutter.

 

I'm getting some trouble showing the app in test14. In the below screenshot (unfortunately I couldn't capture the systray), I can't get the app window to show properly. 

EDIT: Disregard, working now. Probably user error.
