MSFS Auto FPS App

Featured Replies

Thanks.

I have the sim set to 30 frames.

I have the app set to 60 FPS. That should be native, then....with FG 2x

NFR allways lights in orange.

Are you aware this is how FSUIPC was created many years ago? It takes a very clever person to disassemble a executable and analyse the contents. The original UIPC was created by Adam Zofran and then P

The only time NFR should light in orange is if you manually change it away from the FG it auto detected, to indicate what you are looking at is not the same as what was detected. If so, why are you doing that?

I thought it would be better.

Once again, I didn't read the manual enough.😇

😄Yes, you need to set the target FPS for the graphics mode the app auto detects in Auto mode. If you set it for something else, like NFR, it does not use it and uses the target FPS for the auto detected mode instead. This feature was mainly intended for VR users so that they could set their VR target FPS when they are in a 2D graphics mode without having to switch to VR to set it.

For anyone interested, I have had a go at creating a dark mode and the ability to hide the title bar for the app, making for a slicker UI…

Wow! Two more than welcomed features in one update, works like charm! As autumn brings early sunsets here in Germany flying real time while monitoring the effects of certain settings or changes via AutoFPS is now very nice. With the bright UI, it has been a little bit annoying. Now, I can just place the UI in one corner of the screen and just let it sit there with little to no visual impact. Thank you so much!

FYI, some recent progress on making an MSFS in-game display widget for AutoFPS matching your chosen dark/light theme and with display-only values at this time. I hope to have it out as a test version in the next few days.

MSFS_AutoFPS v0.5.4.0-test4 has been released featuring first attempt at the MSFS in-game display widget for users to try out.

Important: If your app is set to auto‑update, it will not automatically install the widget, as I don’t want to assume all users want this feature, particularly in its early release state. To have the installer add the widget, you must manually run the installer and enable the MSFS Widget option before clicking Update, as shown below.

Untitled

After updating, the installer will show you what it did in the output window:

To uninstall the widget, simply run the installer again and uncheck MSFS Widget the click on Update and see the following:

Once installed, the auto update will detect that and will auto update the widget if it gets updated in a future release.

As always, feedback on this new feature will be welcome.
