Saturday at 04:05 PM3 days Does anyone have an issue where if using DLSS5 this app is a bit temperamental and sometimes stops working with the 'Session' indicator showing in red?

Stutter galore.I'm not saying it is due to this app, but the window looks weird as it has Steam's fps overlay on it, never seen it before. After downgrading to 0.5.3 has same behaviour.<img src="" alt="AhU46v.jpg">Driver issue or something else? nVidia 616.92 in use + 2X framegen in game's settings.I haven't seen or heard of that Steam overlay behaviour before. My best guess is either a GPU driver issue, where it's mistaking the AutoFPS window for a rendered game window, or a Steam update has changed something that makes the overlay appear on non-game windows like AutoFPS's UI.If it's the driver, and you've updated it recently, I'd roll back to your previous version. If it's Steam, and it keeps happening, disabling the Steam overlay until they fix it on their end would be worth trying. As for the poor performance and the game not feeling focused, a driver rollback might help with that too. Also, since you're using 2X in-game FG, try changing the AutoFPS Target FPS Type to Auto and letting it auto detect. Man FG is really only for situations where auto detect doesn't auto detect properly. 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
Sunday at 12:10 AM3 days Interesting about the Steam overlay affecting performance. I recently had a similar issue whereby the sim became a slideshow with the "GPU resource exceedance" message. This was even with settings set very low. It came about following a graphics driver update, but it still remained after rolling the driver back. Opening up the in-sim developer mode and selecting debug/FPS, I could see the VRAM steadily increasing, even though I was stationary at a not too detailed airport, and still with low settings. The VRAM usage just kept progressively creeping up until it exceeded available VRAM. The GPU would be running at or close to 99% most of the time, which is well above the norm, especially at those low settings. I also noticed that the Nvidia app performance overlay was constantly flickering on and off. As this was a source of annoyance I selected it off. Performance then returned back to normal, much to my relief. Cheers Steve Hall

My best guess is that the DLSS5 mod is doing something unusual to the camera state MSFS shares over SimConnect, independent of AutoFPS itself, and that's exactly the value AutoFPS relies on to determine whether your flight session is active or not.If it keeps happening, could you enable Log+ and send me the log? That will capture the camera states as they come through and should tell us what's actually going on.It is also worth updating to 0.5.4.2-RC2 (or later) available here. It makes camera state detection more resilient to spurious changes, which could have been dropping your session out on earlier versions. If you do try this, again with Log+ enabled, please let me know if it reduces, or preferably eliminates, the issue. 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11

As such, I suggest you upgrade to it before you do any further testing with DLSS5. 11 hours ago11 hr Hello, I am having an issue with both AutoFPS and DynamicLOD. I am on the latest version of both programs and on the latest version of MSFS24 (not the beta). I have been a long time Dynamic LOD user and just recently, the program is connecting to the sim just fine, however, it will not update the in sim TLOD based on the values I input into the program. It will stay at whatever is set in the sim. I then tried out AutoFPS and tried to use the dynamic LOD portion and that also will not update the in sim TLOD. I ran the installers multiple times to ensure everything was updated but something isnt talking to something so that the TLOD will update. Any ideas?

Note that you can't attach the log files directly here at Avsim, so you have to copy and paste the contents of one into a message.
