Sadly I don't think it will be a purchase for me. There are so many bugs with the A350 still after all this time. Doubtless the A380 will have many of these as they are also in the A340 and A330, and it doesn't seem that they will fix them.

Yep and with all the same basic level bugs that have been reported since release and still unfix after so so many updates. But instead we get vanity features like the HUD for the A350 which is completely unusable because all the indications are incorrect.

How can there be so much wrong on release that these fixes have to be made so soon?

Forgive not replying to all individually. The ones by me I recommend are: Weather: AB MSFS 2024 Date: 02/16/2026 Atmos: AB MSFS 2024 v2 Date: 02/19/2026 Enviro: AB MSFS 2024 v2 Date: 02/05/2026 I am still undecided with the weather one. The Weather Impact Scale and Mode Sliders definitely produce more realistic looking clouds with the values in my preset 95% of the time, however, sometimes they still look bad, I will then reset these two sliders to default and see if the default looks better. If it does I stick with the default until it gets bad again and then I reload the preset (or just manually move the sliders to 102 and 2). The two sliders on the right, Visual Cloud Enhancement and Cloud Luminance, can produce some stunning vistas at times, but also as @AnkH mentions, sometimes can produce a weird glow. I am contemplating just putting these back to default. Until Asobo sort out the mess that is the cloud rendering I am certain this is as good as can be achieved.

There is also a reshade available for these presets on the Noptic Reshade discord server. Note that this requires the use of the depth buffer in reshade, and I have produced a pdf guide as to how to set this up in the same location.

Nice to see these comments about my presets, I am glad people are enjoying using them! For avoidance of doubt, the latest versions are called AB MSFS 2024 v2 The weather preset I am still not sure whether I like the 2 values I have on the top 2 sliders on the right hand side, visual cloud enhancement and cloud luminance. It definitely looks better and more realistic at times with the current values, but it can do weird things in certain conditions, so I may put them back to default. Keeping the custom values of 102 and 2 on the top two sliders on the left hand side, as these really do improve the drawing of the clouds 99% of the time. I had to keep changing the name when tinkering with them as so many (annoying) people keep also making presets called AB MSFS.... heavens knows why.

Sorry I’ve been useless. Life has been very busy, and then I’ve been on holiday for the past month on part of a world cruise… I’m home this coming week. Will sort it out.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m not buying another ini aircraft until they prove to me they can get basic systems correct. I’m sure people will disagree, and It’s great the A350 is there for casual flyers, but in my opinion it’s a disgrace that after so long and so many updates there are still elementary, basic level systems that are so full of bugs that have been reported over and over again and they just seem incapable of fixing it, especially given how it was marketed and its price. The moment you pay any attention to the information given on various displays and MCDU pages, you realise so much of it is total gobbledygook. And yet because the streamers are all sponsored by iniBuilds and are good at making content rather than being good at flying the aircraft or understanding even basic systems, they worship them to high heaven, and the hordes just blindly follow and think they can do no wrong. The mind boggles.

My weather preset for example is for MSFS live weather, I’m not sure if it changes active sky. Personally I only use AS in Passive mode as I hate the weather around the aircraft being applied globally and seeing the abrupt transitions. The weather preset I created just improves the look and lighting of the clouds in MSFS. Yes they aren’t exactly in the same place or have exactly the same size, but it makes the skies look better, and it’s very very close in terms of ‘how much weather there is’ (if that makes sense) to default live weather. It’s not as if the clouds in MSFS live weather or active sky are in the exact same location as real life anyway. I would give my 3 presets, Weather, Atmos, and Enviro, a go and see what you think. AB MSFS, but search for them on the individual tabs, don’t take them from the Home Screen. I’m sure many here and elsewhere will vouch for the improvement in looks and realism they give to the sim.

Did you really expect better from iniBuilds....?? I really get so frustrated with them, they have a huge company base, and so much potential for their aircraft to be good. I really want to like them, but they are just totally out of their depth I'm afraid, all of their aircraft are littered with bugs and errors.

I’ve tried to work on these presets but we all have to remember it’s always a compromise if we want a plug and play preset for all conditions. Great to here some feedback on them. Yes there are definitely bits that I could make better in certain scenarios, but it always seems to mess up something elsewhere at some other time of day/weather condition/altitude etc. I will keep trying of course, and tweaking as I go, I’ve been a bit busy with work this last week or so so haven’t had as much time for sinning as usual. There is also a reshade preset currently in development by the Noptic team that is designed to be paired with my presets, and so I always don’t want to make significant changes at the moment that will affect the development of this. But rest assured I’ll keep my presets and the reshade constantly under development to try and make the sim as realistic looking as possible that we can all hopefully benefit from.

Hi! Glad you’re enjoying them! Erm, I can’t remember if I changed something but still if you search for them now they should be good to go. Still working on REX to try and get the home screen ones to actually be the latest. I will post the reshade on flightsim.to this evening. Or I am happy to PM it here if that’s possible, I have been sharing it primarily on discord, so if you have access to that, I am more than happy to share there. It really isn’t a massive change, just some colour adjustments to make it more natural/realistic looking that I couldn’t achieve on Atmos without ruining the non-colour aspects of the atmosphere, if that makes sense! Best!

Great that you’re enjoying Atmos. Can I just check that you are using my presets by searching for them rather than taking from the Home Screen? The home screen ones on the top presets are outdated. The three AB MSFS presets are designed to be used together. I also use a little bit of reshade for a slight colour correction that I’m not yet able to get in Atmos until the sliders allow finer tuning.

Hello all! I’m sorry I’m a bit late to this party, I went on holiday the day after Atmos 2024 was released and have only just got back. I am the creator of the AB MSFS presets, which I note a lot of you seem to be using. It may not be the case now, but when I left the AB MSFS presets were showing on the Home splash screen as top presets (or whatever the terminology is). But these were not updated when I edited them and the ‘proper’ ones had to be found by searching manually on the weather, Atmos, envro tabs. I hope that makes sense… I’m just wondering, those of you that are using them, are you taking these from the Home Screen or by actually searching? I also only had a few hours to tweak these before I went on holiday, and now I’m back I have more time to properly get them good. I’m therefore more than happy to receive any suggestions on how they could be improved. Though of course they are designed primarily for own set up and monitor and what looks good/realistic to me on that… Anyway I’m glad people are enjoying Atmos, it’s certainly a game changer I think, and now I’m back, I’m looking forward to having more of a play with it!

Absolutely. That video was a disgrace, and I said so at the time. It was blatantly obvious he was just moving the sliders willy nilly and not paying any attention to how they interact with each other, or testing in different weather conductions, different times, different altitudes etc. It was so obvious he hadn’t a clue. I was never a big fan of easyjetsimpilot in the first place, and that video just cemented that opinion.

Someone needs to write a really clear clear guide for how to set up controls for aircraft so they are persistent once you’ve selected that for that aircraft. And preferably a way to back all these up!
