Alternative to DDU?

I was wondering if anyone can endorse a program for uninstalling Nvidia drivers OTHER than DDU?  I have used DDU in the past and I'm not convinced it is effective, let alone even necessary.  Sometimes I let Nvidia remove older drivers automatically by just installing the newer driver, and that seems to work well.  However, when reverting to an older driver, I used DDU.  It's a little cumbersome in that you have to go into Recovery, Start up settings, restart several times, go into safe mode and then install.  I guess I'm just asking if there is a "tried and true" driver uninstaller that is safe and effective and indeed does give a clean slate for installing a brand new Nvidia driver.

IMHO, the upcoming Nvidia App will render DDU pretty much useless...

Even the new driver installers do their work clean enough... No need to mess around with DDU or even som other more cumbersome alternatives...

Never used DDU had no problem with drivers. Have the new App installed and have just upgraded from a MSI 2080Ti to a MSI 4080 Super no problem. Just made sure I deleted the config file in my sims set them back to default so the sim recognisees my new GPU. As it can cause problems.

You can configure DDU to automatically do all the Microsoft "reboot-into-Safe-Mode" exercise.  DDU makes safe and thorough cleaning of GPU drivers quick and easy.

Perhaps the Nvidia App (still in early Beta) will actually prove to "render DDU pretty much useless".  But I doubt the App will ever clean Nvidia registry entries as thoroughly as DDU.

Please post screenshots of your App config for P3D.  I'd like to see what I'm missing in my App config.

I highly recommend DDU. In one of my computers I use everytime when I need to update my drivers and have to make sure all the old driver files are deleted

DDU is the go-to solution for a complete removal. However, it's not something you should use every time, it's usually used if you are facing issues with your drivers and need to make sure every trace of the driver gets removed.

 While I have used DDU when changing between AMD and Nvidia graphics cards, I have never seen a need to use it for driver updates or even swapping between Nvidia cards.

I've used it from time to time when I wanted to totally clear out driver files.

Typically when troubleshooting and chasing resolutions to issues it is good to have a known and clean start base which DDU achieves.

I used to use DDU a few years ago but have had no problem doing a standard uninstall in the rare instance when I decide to upgrade.

The App is still being updated by Nvidia, but what it will do is take account of your Monitor, PC and GPU capabilities and give you the best settings for them. In my case I have just upgraded to a LG 42 Gaming C3 TV Monitor that is VRR HDR AND G sync compatible with a MSI 2080 Super. My settings are based on 4K.

It will when they have fully implemented it, At the moment your not forced to use it as you have to download it, you can delete it.

An app that thinks it’s smarter than a human being. Hmmm. What refresh rate did it set? How would it know if a user preferred 30Hz if 60Hz was also an option?

You can select your own but it know`s the monitor is 120hz.

PS At the end of the day stick with what you have and like, A users asked about it I gave an answer that`s me done for now.

That might be best for fast moving games but not for flight sim. 30Hz is generally considered the best compromise between complexity and performance. I still think a human is better placed to decide than a program.
