Using AIE by Herve Sors I edited it and changed 03 to 02

I update the sim using Herve's navaid updates, hence all runways and navaids are updated per airac.

Hi Ray,

Glad you fixed it. 👍

FWIW my LPPT also shows 03/21 in ActiveSky both on the Briefing tab and also in the Conditions tab.

I did find out like you that APX45180.BGL shows the old runway designators for LPPT but I used the MakeRunways files to figure out that its pulling the stock airport data.

I will use AIE to correct this small issue.

Thanks for posting this nugget of information and well spotted on the discrepancy!

It would have been useful if you'd mentioned that.  Is there a way of updating all corrected data with that tool or does it have to be done on a airport by airport basis?

Herve's utility makes this so easy.

More to the point it would have been useful to know that AS scans the scenery rather than using the database either supplied or updated.

The P3Dv5 update package is available upon request from Herve and updates with a simple installer: https://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html

The global updater is only generally available for P3D1-4. However, the v5 package is available by request - see bottom left on this page:
FSX/P3D Navaids update (sors.fr)

That's not to say I am recommending it, you must use it at your own risk 🙂

Well, glad you solved it - I was about to post the suggestion of updating with Hervé's Navdata Update... It worked for me.

I agree. Looking through the large help document there’s no reference whatsoever to where ASP3D gets its runway data from. I find that baffling. Perhaps they don’t consider it important but they must realise runway designations do change.

I’ll reply to my ticket and mention this. I’ll also ask why they don’t use the Navigraph data provided.

I have used the P3Dv5 package before, thanks. Does it update changed ILS idents as well as VORs and runway designations all in one go?

@simfan1983, thanks, I’ve used it before.

Yes, a simple install will "update en route navigational aids (VORs, NDBs), airport data (airport names, ILSs, markers, runway identifiers, terminal NDBs, runway/approach lighting systems, PAPI/VASI and COM frequencies), airways, en route and terminal intersections in selectable world areas (worldwide coverage)"
