I was recently told about FEX and I was checking it out and - well what can I say it looks greatFEX Screenshots: http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=23961BUT THEN I SAW THIS!!!http://www.flightsimworld.com/forums/index...c=129098&st=460I don't know when REX will be coming out, but I want them both NOW!!I understand that FEX and REX will have weather engines, so well I am going to be broke!!

Yes, REX will be a killer!!! :--)The clouds are even more beautiful than the real ones..I own and love FEX but I will have both a Cadillac and a Chevrolet in my garage...and a little bit more overdraft in my bank. *:-*

Rex does look good, but I don' think it's something that you can also use FEX, they appear to be doing the same thing!! So I think it's 1 or the other.

Thanks

Now...THOSE clouds look like the REAL ones Geofa takes pictures of through his Baron's windows!Extreme white...realistic...almost like being there!I absolutely love those pics. Can't wait. We're getting closer to "as real as it gets".Stan

As awesome as those clouds are ... I think just as large an impact in the realism that REX will bring is in the waterscapes. These shots (from their website) just leave me breathless:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/181893.jpgMore here:http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/water/index.html(Goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway: I am in no way affiliated with Tim Fuchs or the developers of this fine product.)

Check out what's in store for a near future update of FEX:http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=23961Those cloud textures easily rival the work being done in REX, and for the record, FEX also uses actual in-flight photographs of real clouds for their textures.I really see no reason to own both. Stick with one or the other.

I am planning to own both.1) I like any improvement to the sim-and different approaches can be each satisfying, but more importantly...2) I want to support people that do this kind of work. If they don't make money-they won't do it. For the cost of a meal, I will have great fun longer lasting than the 1 time meal, and the financial support to the creators will hopefully encourage more of these kinds of projects. No support-no projects-and the sim will remain much the same for a 3 year cycle. Well worth the contribution imho.http://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/1b5baf...b9f427f694g.jpgMy blog:http://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

I have kept quiet about htis long enough. All I will say is REX is going to have a serious copywrite issue if it's released. Think back to these very forums for FS9.

Nice driveby threat.Classless.

Not a threat, just an observation based on past posts here and in other forums. I have a long memory, is yours that selective?

It really doesn't matter how you rationalize the comment: It's up to the "injured party/ies" to launch a lawsuit. Your post implied that you had inside information, and it certainly seemed to me - and at least one other reader, that it was a thinly-veiled threat by one of those "injured parties".If not - then it has certainly poisoned what was a good thread - and so perhaps it ought to be locked before it deteriorates further.Mods?
