July 8, 20241 yr Hello everyone my name is Marc, I've been suffering from CTDs for a week now, I have pretty much done everything that could possibly be done. First of all here are my specs: CPU: intel i310100F GPU: AMD radeon RX5500xt 4gb vram RAM: 16gb Storrage: 3TB Here is a list of what I've done: 1- verified game files on steam 2- fresh windows install 3- turning XMP off in bios 4- removed all mods in the community folder. 5- reverted my GPU drivers 6- ran all CMD file checkers (even though i am on a clean windows installation) 7- ran event viewer and here are the results: Faulting application name: FlightSimulator.exe, version: 1.37.19.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 10.0.22621.3733, time stamp: 0x44653e19 Exception code: 0xe06d7363 Fault offset: 0x000000000005f39c Faulting process id: 0x0x1234 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DAD13C19481D9E Faulting application path: D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\FlightSimulator.exe Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNELBASE.dll Report Id: 81a0de2f-879f-4379-a4eb-7719be498f76 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: If there are any steps/procedures i should take please let me know, as i am fed up

July 8, 20241 yr When do the CTD's happen, during a flight or on initial loading up of the sim? Random or reproducible at a specific point, airport etc? If you can get to the settings menu, try turning all settings down low and seeing if you can complete a flight like that. Your system is quite low spec for the sim (but if it worked before it should work now) and the recent updates might now be demanding a little too much from the settings you have set for graphics in particular. You mention that you re-installed Windows. Unless you also formatted the drive when doing so, in other words a fresh, clean install of Windows, and then reinstalled everything from scratch to a clean drive, as opposed to a "repair re-install", this often invites further trouble and complications and very seldom fixes issues (in my opinion). Its tedious but it beats spending way more hours upon hours of frustration trying to figure out issues like this. CTDs happen when loading up the sim i get to half point on the blue loading bar, unfortunately i don't have access to the settings, is it possible to turn everything down to low from game files? Microsoft forums recommended a fresh windows,, it was the last thing i did and it didn't fix it.

July 8, 20241 yr Drivers for GPU and motherboard up to date? Especially after reinstalling Windows. Anti virus program of something like CCleaner? Symptoms point towards corrupt or missing files or hardware conflicts, not hardware failure, but don’t rule that out. There are some sim user config files you can try deleting but others will have to confirm which ones and their locations. That will reset your user changeable config/settings. Still curious how you installed Windows? Did you delete all disk partitions (clean install) when reinstalling to wipe the disc of all data or just put a new copy of Windows over itself so you keep all your files, which often breaks more than it fixes. A completely clean install should fix this as a last resort, meaning you need to back up your entire PC as you lose everything on the drive. GPU are up do date, idk how to check for the motherboard, and yes i deleted the C drive and wiped all of its data, then installed windows again from a burnt ISO file on my flash memory, i installed windows from the official Microsoft website
