I've read that many people have had huge problems with MSFS after they verified game files on steam, so if the problem with your CTDs appeared after you did that, that could be the problem.

I made that mistake once, the verification simply erased my entire 'packages\official' folder and I had to download the sim from scratch. I didn't have any problems afterwards though.

Quite, my reaction was lengthy and unprintable.

I also have a boat which is nice because I can vent my feelings about the vagaries of wind and weather several miles offshore without a neighbour banging on the wall.

The crashing was before i even verified, the reason i verified game files was because it was crashing non stop, one thing that i can say that when i deleted the steam cloud save it opened the accessibility window and i was able to stay for a long time without crashing, so its probably something in the game files itself, but i dont know which file, and i don't have the time to install 100+ gbs while the MSFS launcher literally downloads at 4.50 mbits

Sounds like you have tried everything but the motherboard chipset drivers. Do you know your motherboard or computer manufacturer and model number?

I think I know what the issue is....Do you meet the requirements for CPU? Has the sim ran fine before this?

Also, a lot of these extra steps are typically unnecessary (reinstalling of sim, windows etc). As evidenced by you doing this.

What was the last thing that you installed? Were there several?

Marketplace: ensure that all the content is installed (city updates, world updates, all of it that you bought).

Frankly, if you can't figure all these things out from the above advice, then I would do a fresh install of the sim and every bit of content you bought (world updates, reno races etc).

I installed he motherboard chipset drivers and didnt help.

The sim ran for a year without any problems, I stopped playing it for 4 months because of college, when i got back it started doing this, i think im going to fresh install it

yeah it sounds like some necessary files were borked somehow.

last resort is always a sim reinstall though. I think you're at that point. Also, I would use addon linker for all of your addons (even from orbx etc) as you could easily switch them "off" in the sim. Ie: symlink. Just for future reference.

I got this CTD on Startup, right after the LASTEST UPDATE. Second attempt, no avail

Did this happen after MSFS update? If so, you could check a pending windows update and choose (update and restart). See if that works

May I suggest the following:

Go through each of the following steps one at a time. Copy each line, one at a time, paste it into the Dos window (crtl + V) and press return

and it will then run. Wait until each runs and finishes before you move on to the next one.

When you are completely finished, Restart your computer and then try to see in MS2020 will start and run properly

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /checkhealth

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /scanhealth

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth

sfc /scannow

Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore

Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

This procedure was provided by someone else in a similar thread. I have used this method and it has helped me solve a recurring CTD issue.  I hope that it does for you.

I am experiencing CTDs with City Update IX installed, whenever I try to start a flight in the DC area. When I uninstall City Update IX the problem disappears. The CTDs happen even with an empty Community folder, so addons are not the problem. What is going on here?

Update -- I find that if I lower the graphics settings, I can get City Update IX to work without CTDs, but contrary to the video, I still see melted buildings and trees.
