I still use MSFS2020, and I'm very happy with it - the graphics are excellent and all of my aircraft apart from the A220 fly very smoothly Before installing MSFS2020 (and I was on the original Beta team), I was using FS9 and it was great - it ran very easily on my previous system and I had all the aircraft that I wanted to fly, had great AI traffic and virtual ATC (Radar Contact) . However, I was finding that more elements had stopped working and I was thinking about going to FSX. However, MSFS202 was about to be launched so I went for that instead. Having said all that, I'm thinking about going to MSFS2024 because the Hawker 800XP is only available on it, and I want to fly it as I was part of the original BAe125-800 design team.

I'm sorry to say that the A220 has been a source of disappointment to me, running it in MSFS2020. I'm getting an average FPS of about 20, compared to the Fenix A320, that I get an average FPS of about 60. Also I have to clean out the WASM before the next flight, otherwise the batteries don't come on, and nothing else works. May I ask if anyone else has the same issues, and if you have, have you managed to overcome them.

Hi Bruce, I have the latest version of the inibuilds manager, and I tried re-booting the PC. I managed to get it working once, then foolishly I restarted the sim and back to normal - nothing.

Thanks - it seems that I'm not the only one. Hopefully, ininbuilds will come up with a hot fix soon!

Dear All, Yesterday, I purchased the A220 from the IniBuilds store, I came to run it in MSFS2020 and nothing happened apart from the EFB (that worked well - I was able to go through all the options, downloaded a SimBrief light plan, etc.) So, to be clear on what I mean by nothing happened is that when I selected the batteries, there was nothing - no power up of screens, etc,. The GPU didn't come on when I selected it, etc. Also, the throttles, the steering tiller and the sidestick did not react to any inputs. I tried reinstalling it - same result, same for with cabin or no cabin. I have a powerful PC set up, as follows: Processor AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 8-Core Processor (4.70 GHz) Installed RAM 64.0 GB (61.6 GB usable) Graphics card AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX (24 GB) and it can run the A350 without any issues. I don't think that it is a WASM crash as I tried a different aircraft straight after trying to get the A220 to work, and that was fine. So, I am totally bemused - I have been using flight simulators almost since Microsoft Flight Simulator 5.0 and this has never happened to me before. Any help would be appreciated. Dear All, I'm a happy user of MSFS2020, but I can see the writing on the wall that future developments will be focussed on MSFS (and rightly so). The main reason why I've not migrated to MSFS2024 is concerned with my internet speeds. I don't have full-fibre yet (and with no date yet from my provider for the upgrade - thanks BT) and my current internet speeds are: 37.32 Mbps download 5.48 Mbps upload May I ask if anyone who is running MSFS2024 with similar internet speeds if you're able to run it successfully? The greater majority of my flights are with airliners (PMDG, Inibuilds, Fenix, etc.) as I fly for several virtual airlines. Any advice would be welcomed. Best regards, Peter P.S. I had a major upgrade (graphics card, CPU, memory, etc.) to my PC last year so in principle, I should be able to run MSFS2024 OK.

I fly for 8 virtual airlines and the aircraft that I buy have to be operated by at least 2 of them. So that limits the choice of aircraft that I have, and I don't have any non-current airliners. My next purchases will be the A220 (I'm in no rush - waiting for it to mature) and the 757-200F for my virtual cargo airlines. Each month, I try to fly at least 2 routes per airline, so I get to fly most of my aircraft on a fairly regular basis. I've also fly with Jetcard, but I only use the CJ4 and the Longitude when I'm flying executive charter flights. They're fine for me, but I also have the default King Air and the BBJ if I want to try some flights with them as well. When I get around to buying MSFS2024 (I haven't yet because my internet connection isn't good enough), I'll probably do a fair bit of GA flying, using the default aircraft first.

Just to say that ATR is not Airbus and vice versa. They are separate companies.

May I ask for the source of your statement "Airbus was approaching airlines and essentially offering them suitcases full of cash"?

In MSFS2020, my go to executive aircraft is the default CJ4. There are some great mods on Flightsim.to for it, and it is a joy to fly with surprisingly good performance (it storms up to 43,000 ft).

I can understand that. However, as someone who doesn't have a decent internet connection, I still use MSFS2020, and it would be great to get some of the improvements. I don't have much hope that they will, though.

It may be if you introduce the fuel too early in the engine start up procedure.

I have no plans to go to MSFS 2024 until my internet connection is upgraded. As is, I'm perfectly happy with MSFS 2020.

May I ask where you got the information to make this statement, or is it an assumption?

I'm having trouble with the ATR 72 in MSFS2020 again. The trim doesn't work - as soon as I try to adjust it, it goes to zero and won't shift from that position. I have no issue with the trim on any other aircraft. Also, may be related, the autopilot refuses to engage. Very frustrated. May I ask if anyone has any idea on how to fix these issues?

I enjoy using Beyond ATC. I find it great from pushback to the vectoring to the approach. At this point, I just ignore the instructions and follow the STAR and use common sense to get to the approach to the runway. Also, I use the TOD as shown in LittleNavMap as the marker to start descending as I find that the descent rate is normally 1,800-2,000 fpm which I find keeps the aircraft speed OK without the excessive use of the speed brakes.
