New WF Scenery Studios Airport Released ZSSS

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

New P3d v5 version of ZSSS released today on sim market.  I already have several of their airports and they are all fantastic.

I will be picking this up and I hope other P3d pilots do too in an effort to show support for a great developer like WFSS still releasing new airports for P3d.

Purchased last week. A bit pricey but very nice airport. Been doing some cargo flights from Shanghai to Narita and back. VHHH will be my next purchase. BTW not in China but in Japan, if you guys are looking for a good airport RJFF (Fukuoka) by SNU SIM is a must have: 13€ and a beautiful done airport with great performance as well. Fully recomended both ZSSS and RJFF.

Did you have the v1 version of ZSSS (I have the v1 version for P3Dv4 which works fine in P3Dv5.3) and if so what differences did you find?

+1 for the RJFF scenery. This is a good value-for-money, well developed scenery product.👍

Sadly the RJFF is quite outdated with new taxiway have been paved at the west side of runway. the SUNSIM one still using a somewhat working in progress layout for that part.

I guess that can be said for many airports in the sim world. The airport scenery developers are always playing catch-up to the actual development of airports in the real world. I think the question is, what's the expectation here for developers to keep updating their airports?
Is this an unrealistic expectation from simmers or is it considered a normal practice in general to provide that type of support/updates for the product?

I believe that's why I'm glad WFSS have new ZSSS and ZBAA to catch up, although it's been new product and charges full price. Their VHHH have updated 3rd runway for free after release, kudos to that.

I quite like the XP's approach of user contribute default airport, relatively frequent updated, at least for popular one.

Hey Mark, no, it is my first airport by WFSS.

I'm not familiar with this particular airport and his taxiways, but it's not a big problem for me honestly. But it's just personal opinion.

It looks great and performance is good as well. Great product for the price. Nice airport for some domestic flights in Japan or a quick flight to ZSSS or a bit longer to VHHH (which i'm planning to buy)
