Help - Purchased E-19X and no key provided!

Purchased the E-19X from the Marketplace via Steam.  Everything was working like a champ until the plane loaded and wanted the "Serial Key" for activation.  I normally do not have an issue with marketplace purchases, but this one is ticking me off. Osobo Microsoft 2020 does not provide receipts if purchased through Steam, when you look at my Steam receipt it shows MSFS 2020 but not the specifics of the purchase. I tried going to my Microsoft account but northing show up there! Anyone else have an idea of what to do except never buying another product throught the  marketplace?

Since your topic is very Sim specific, you will get more responses in the MSFS 2020 than in Hangar Chat.

I don't have either variant of the E190-195 but this occasionally happens with the 170-175. Putting in a serial key doesn't help. Usually a reload clears the problem, but once or twice I had to reinstall the plane.

Thank you for the  idea, but tried the reload and nada, waited 24 hours and still nada!  

I contacted Steam, explained that all I want was the Serial Key. They responded back saying there is nothing they can do about it since they did not have anything directly to do with the product, talk to FSS.  MSFS stated,

I emailed FSS and was amazed with a replay within 30 minutes.  After some back and forth, they said they are passing it to one of the software engineers.  So tomorrow I am hoping for a conclusion to this issue.  The software only cost $29.99, but the point is I was sold a defective product by 3rd parties, MSFS  and Steam.  FSS if you think about sold a set amount of lots to the MSFS Marketplace, who then distributes the software to our PC's via the marketplace. It is like GM selling a car without the keys to a dealership, the dealership sells the car to a customer and upon delivery states, "Sorry, you will have to get with GM!"

During my years of FSX I purchased my software  from 3rd party vendors that backed up their sales, I can still today download an FSX plane I bought in 2012 with no issues, and the same with X-Plane store. This is the last time I will purchase anything from the MSFS Marketplace. Also when MSFS 2024 comes out, I will purchase directly from Microsoft. No more 3rd parties.

No one will be able to give you a key. You need to contact FSS directly. I recommend reach out for them on discord and open ticket. They reply very quickly.

This has nothing to do with MSFS or Steam and everything to do with buggy copy protection from FSS. Their website says the plane is still in early access, so you are essentially a beta tester and you just found a bug. No reason to blame the MSFS marketplace for this.

You are correct! After doing more trouble shooting  while waiting for an answer, I noticed in my hangar that I had the EJET 190/195 commercial passengers version.  I loaded them up and no issue.  I then remembered I had purchased those planes from Aerosoft Store that did require a key.  So I went to my Aerosoft account looked up the plane, copied the Key and then reloaded the E190 Freighter bought from the Marketplace and SHAZAAM!  So for what ever reason if they make another E190 version I will have to use the Aerosoft Key provided.

So this turned out to be user error...?
