August 24, 20241 yr I just came across this and thought I'd sahre for the LOLs. I don't think I've ever seen someone having 14 minutes of Jorg's time and not even trying to make him say something even remotely new, but still titling "New Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Details." The interview actually has 2 minutes saying absolutely nothing new about MSFS2024 and then 12 minutes saying absolutely nothing new about the World Update and the FW200 for MSFS 2020. It honestly made me giggle and I hope it'll bring a Saturday giggle to ya'll as well. For the record, Xbox On is Microsoft's own UK-focused gaming channel, not an independent outlet, which makes it even funnier, at least to me. Editor-in-Chief at SimulationDaily.com

August 24, 20241 yr Nice video, but too bad they are talking about updates to Germany and yet Asobo never updates the incorrect runway headings for their own Cologne EDDK. Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090

August 24, 20241 yr Nothing wrong with that video IMO. Not every video or interview has to be for the hardcore simmer, and I'm sure "busy" Jörg appreciates the occasional opportunity to just quickly chat enthusiastically about the sim. There are so many youtubers who'll go into the minutae of the sim on their channels. This is just an alternative way of promoting what's new and coming up. If anything 'annoys' or amuses me, it's the fact that, whilst I understand the sensitivities of the subject, the FW200 didn't just 'disappear' when the war started, it became a maritime patrol and reconnaissance bomber and transporter, and became a replacement for the Ju52 as word not allowed's personal transport. Frankly, most German developments at the time had pre-planned military use considered. Even the in-sim info makes no mention of its later military use and it's not as though there are no other military connections in the Marketplace (albeit all unarmed). But as for the video, horses for courses. Well, they are new details if you haven't seen or heard anything about the new sim before watching that video. 😉 OS: Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHzRAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB] SSD: Corsair Force MP510 (for OS); 2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)HDD: Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)

No one is faulting Jorg, but the massive disconnect between content and title/thumbnail is absolutely worthy of mockery. And to be fair, Xbox On is literally run and owned by Microsoft's UK arm. While Jorg gets a pass for not saying anything new when thrown a bunch of the softest softballs possible, I'm surprised that someone as hands-on as he is did not notice said disconnect and picked up a phone to have it corrected, since he's being misrepresented.
