Thanks Kendall, will try that too. I did find a post in official MS forums with this exact problem and official answer was that it -could- be a problem with authentication! Opening a ticket now

Well, I wish you luck with that - I guess I can't see how it would be an authentication problem simply loading a flight as the Xbox gremlins have already issued you a ticket by booting into the sim itself.

Have you tried uninstalling any world updates for that region you are trying to fly?  Have you tried different airports/areas of the world?

For some reason it feels like a scenery problem to me.  Proc mon could help in pinpointing the hang.

Regards, Kendall

Well... I logged off in the sim and now I cannot log back in! Xbox "Let's get you signed in" shows, I press the "Sign in" button and nothing happens for half an hour.

EDIT: Alt +Enter cures that

Other than that, I did try to spawn in different places of the world. Japan, Asia, Caribean, Europe...

EDIT 2: Sim is running again! It WAS a problem with authentication! I managed to log back in after pressing Alt + Enter for windowed mode and Xbox login screen suddenly responded. Then I went through initial setup, all the different settings windows as if entering the sim for the first time. Most of the settings were as I left them as were all controllers profiles.

I hope this helps somebody down the road...

And big thanks to all who responded and tried to help! Appreciated! 🙂

June "Alt + Enter" cured that. It did for me too. There was something about Alt + Enter that allowed MSFS to display once again. I think it has to do with shutting down MSFS in a fast improper way. And then when you try to load the sim or a flight, it can't fit the image to the screen, so you have to resize the image, which is what Alt Enter does.
