Crew sked is contractually prohibited from contacting crews via ACARS.  If dispatch needs to talk about something important, they'll Satcom call you.  Just clear the scratchpad message and ignore the spam 😉.

Huh? This may be the case at your operator but the Airbus operator we referenced for this absolutely get ADC every single leg - they aren't from crew scheduling.

I had to look up what an ADC message is.  We'd call that a delay report, which can be sent at crew discretion but certainly won't be an annoying distractor if they don't (as I'm understanding this can be from the OP?).  But I guess I'm confused - why would a crew get this after every departure, if there's no delay?

Yep - things like final loadsheet arriving on the taxi-out, etc is quite common also.

Oh my no.  We don't push until we have numbers.

There seems to be an odd level of tolerance for crew distraction in other regions, but we don't play those games.  If the bean counters need to track delays they can do so; pilots operate airplanes and we don't allow distractions for corporate convenience here.  Just different strokes,I guess.

Final numbers arrive on paper, then they arrive via ACARS - the ACARS might turn up a little late, so can be during the taxi out. The ADC is an automated system - so it is relatively dispassionate on when it turns up. With that being said though, it seems reasonably non invasive, no aural alert, a small notice on the ECAM about a message, and that's pretty much it.

@AamirWould it be possible for us to have the option to disable the ADC in the future, if desired ?

I don't think ADC goes far enough. I want Fenix Scheduling to call me at 3 a.m. to inform me that I have been assigned a trip with a 5 a.m. check-in. It will be a four-day trip with four legs a day, with wonderful layovers in Dayton, Ohio, Rockford, Illinois, and Harlingen, Texas. And the miserable captain I hate flying with will be my captain for the entire four-day trip.

Don't start jumping to conclusions about people.  Discord is a typical techie solution.  No structure, part cartoon show, designed for the benefit of the techies not their clients.

I don't do that with what I said, in any case it wasn't meant that way and the other is just the way everyone sees it and I see it a little differently..

cheers 😉
