i really wanted to post on Fenix  Discord , but i don't like /understand discord 😏, anyway i know the Fenix team monitor this forum, so my teeny weeny little gripe with the Airbus is "Company message " . so i like to fly live schedules and like to get away on time , now i know i can alter time in the EFB and all of that . but when you know you got away on time and then in cruise you get the dreaded " company message " and you think oh maybe i was a minute late or 30 seconds late , and then you open the message and you get " nothing to see here all is good " and i just wished the Fenix team would have a little bit more sympathy for us , after all its just adds to work load . Maybe we don't receive a company message if there is nothing to answer too ? just a thought ! 🙂

I think if there was a vote to get rid of the ADC message entirely it would be a landslide YES. However, ultimately you really can just ignore it but since alot of pilots are OCD we cant. The message has to be acknowledged to keep that clean screen!

if you ignore the wife sooner or  later you gonna pay the price ! that's for sure 🙂

Crew sked is contractually prohibited from contacting crews via ACARS.  If dispatch needs to talk about something important, they'll Satcom call you.  Just clear the scratchpad message and ignore the spam 😉.

I too find the company message annoying - and the panel and overhead lighting 'ON' when you start your flight. Would be great if Fenix could incorporate these in  the settings preferences.

Lol right?  I mean I'm 50+ and use Discord just fine.  Started using it in 2016 when I came back to endgame content in WoW and quickly recognized Discord as just another Teamspeak, Ventrilo, etc. but with persistent chat channels.  It's great for your clan/guild/whatever in MMO, etc type games for reliable voice chat independent of the game being played and to organize strategies for group content.  Basically "small communities" vs what some organizations have tried to use it for (like REX trying to use it for customer service).  Sure Discord has added features to try and help with that stuff, but that's not what it was originally created for. 

 

I guess I've been using it so long I just don't get the "hate" people have for it.  I dislike how/what some organizations have tried to use it for but not the platform itself.
