Show Me Your Cockpit

Featured Replies

I really enjoy looking at other simmers' cockpits, and I know others do too. I'm looking at maybe redesigning my current setup, which I tend to do every 2 or 3 years. It's always nice to see what others are doing, as I get ideas. So please guys, post some pics of your cockpits so we can all see!

I don't have one. Haven't done any simming in a very long time. Might get back into it for FS2024.

Is that a wrecked headrest, courtesy of a feline? 😁

Not sure if it qualified as cockpit, but here you are.

Which joystick is that? And how is it for weight? I detest heavy joysticks, like em light as possible.

VKB gunfighter, the weight can be changed as you like.

I used to prefer light stick (even T16000 is too heavy and I have swapped a 3rd party lighter spring for it), but with this one, the full metal mechanical is super smooth so a heavy spring doesn't have much trouble.

👍

I'm thinking, maybe, if I get back into simming for FS2024, a Virpil stick, with its replaceable cams and springs. The innards look like a work of art.

Of course, 😉

A double feline scenario. Always a recipe for feline artwork and engraving on furniture. 😸

I bet you delay simming if they're on your chair, don't you? Rather than get them off the chair.

Seems like just yesterday you had posted your latest build. Heres mine which has a small amount of custom parts and ideas to it.

Hey Nathan, looks fantastic! Nice to see a cockpit that feels like a cockpit but that's generic, presumably you fly different planes? Some great tips and ideas in there. BTW, what is the monitor?

I do but very limited to only a few planes. I call it a Cesper 58 as in Cessna, Piper and Baron 58 but now its more of a Grand Cesper 58 as in Grand Duke..ha! The Comanche really is a great plane both in life and the sim. The Baron is for XPlane and the Dukes are just waiting on AirManager gauges to be complete. What I love about the G5s are that in one screen its any planes 6 pack and the other are your Navs. Tied with a GTN750Xi and the Garmin 500 auto pilot, you have pretty much most of any plane so its nice to have the support gauges screen to add all the items for engine monitoring and such.

For pilot friends who are not simmers (therefore the controls and lack of flying by your seat is new to them) I have a C152 and C182 RG that I can load up for them to fly and get use to the sim. I love having the G5 screens and can use them for other small gauges like the HSI and Airspeed gauge as seen in these pics
