If your internet goes down or you deliberately disable it while flying, the sim will throw up a warning message, followed by a complete halt less than a minute later until you re-enable internet. [Edit]: The timeout is closer to 30 seconds until you get a forced pause if your internet is off. [2nd Edit]: You don't even have to be flying.
