I got a refund myself, didn't realize it was going to be 100% streaming! Don't want my flight sim experience to be determined by server load! Think the load is bad now, just wait until Christmas.

  • Fair enough, i bet your back in a few months though. I just did a flight in a GA aircraft over Nevada and it was simply stunning, and the aircraft handled great, no stuttering or issues getting into t

Who's a clever boy then? 😁

The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

Wait till your Career gets nerfed after 30 hours of flight, at level 19, with 26,000 credits saved up.

Something is wrong with the Career Mode server??? I'm now seeing error messages in the game about their servers.

Gonna go check on Kip On The Ground ... he may be suicidal. He's about 10 levels ahead of me and has been grinding for 3 of his company paid days off.

Oh my... even though I didn't qualify for a refund because of Steam's 2 hour playtime rule (I 'played' the game over 7 hours) I got a refund for the Premium Deluxe edition...! All 140 euro's of it! Clearly Steam is VERY aware of the problems MSFS2024 is having and is way more easy with refunding than usual. You could say this is really bad news for MS Asobo...

Anyway, I am happy with the refund. I may buy MSFS2024 again when the inital problems are solved and it'll be the Standard edition this time for sure... I totally lost my excitement for MSFS2024 and Standard will do fine. In time.

MSFS 2024 is working great for me.  I'm sorry it didn't for you.  I'm on in less than 3 minutes, have just about everything tuned to ULTRA and flying is smooth.  I working with a 4 year old Jetline Computer (which is always built for simmers) and a GeForce card that came with it.  It's a GTX 1080 Ti and I am extremely happy with it in MSFS and P3d. Hope to see you back soon.  Don't give up!

Wow... something must be really bad on my side then. I've heard people in the US tend to have less problems (or no problems at all) while the rest of the world is struggling... I hope that's true. Well, not that the rest is struggling but that things may become better outside of the US too. Soon.

DE is perfectly nice since yesterday morning. UK still a mess and heard of reports out of BE having problems, too. Seems to be region specific and even in a region seems to be hit or miss depending on the provider and the routes you are taking.

Talked with a support guy of Steam and asked if there is a way to block users that got a refund and want to buy the same product again. He liked the idea and wanted to take it to the next internal meeting.

Maybe if you end up having to take back spoiled meat to your grocery store they will block you in the future from being allowed to buy meat.

Meanwhile, a few days later, I've been flying in the new sim with almost no server related issues and I haven't loaded 2020 up once 😆. On Caribbean internet no less lol

In all seriousness, guys like you are the true unsung heroes.  We will all later benefit from the early adopters.

That would be a product you bought, instantly turned spoiled and would never be usable for you without severe health problems 😉 Is that the case here or are we observing a problem of nowadays culture of going 100% escalation mode instantly? Does it really hurt to wait a day or two? Even your financial loss if you would have put the money into a more lucrative offer is barely noticeable. That is highly debatable and very subjective for sure but me think we should be a little bit more relaxed. Did I install 2024 on release minute? Yes. Did it work until around 24 hours later for me? No. Does it work for me now? Yes, very nice and smooth. Does it work for all already? No, sadly some regions still have issues that soonish will be fixed.

Anyhow it was meant as a joke but skins seem thin nowadays 😉

Blue Skies!

Same here...! 🫢 Couldn't help myself. Flying over Norway now (Standard edition btw). Loading times are a lot better: to main menu just over 3 minutes, into the plane in 58 seconds. That's more like it.

Performance still sucks though... Medium presets and lots of stutters plus low res terrain all over the place. And a lot of settings aren't saved (controller presets, anything in the EFB). Ah, well, it'll get better, I am sure. (Certainly when I am going to buy a new PC next year.)

No prob lol. Don't get me wrong tho, I did say almost no issues but definitely nothing refund worthy at this point. I was only first able to get into the sim in the wee hours of Wednesday morning but now, when I load it up, I know I'm going to get in.
