Saving / loading MSFS2024 saved flights

Featured Replies

Anyone tried saving default or payware aircraft flights (takeoff, cruise, approach) then later reloading the saved flights?

Best as I can search, you can't, no save for you!  There is no save feature at all in this game besides the auto saving in Career and the other objective based game activities.

"we don't have manual saves, quick saves, checkpoints, we don't even give them a copy of the data they have to stream it like Netflix"

"I thought Netflix allowed downloads for quality and offline? "

"we've done better.. Take their money, give em nothing they can actually look at to say they own it (they don't), no downloads, we're making history.. No game has EVER done any of this before"

"they won't buy it, you're asking too much for too little"

"they already did.. In advance.. Before we even finished it, or had it working properly, you really can't lose these days!"

Wondering why no option to save a flight in MSFS2024?

probably too much complicated data to store, and maybe some data can't be stored locally because of licences (weather data)

In MSFS2020 I also use FSiPanel which creates saved flight situations for training.

Looks like that will be a problem for the FSiPanel developer in MSFS2024.

Good to know. I do save flights quite often in 2020 at the end of the day, and resume the next day. I suppose like 2020 there's no normal pause function either? Maybe just some active pause function where your plane is suspended in mid-flight, but the animals beneath you continue to graze and the sun continues to ark across the sky. Or maybe no pause at all this time around?

Since getting into MSFS I'm sometimes reminded of that Queen song "I want it all, and I want it now." Which for me might mean the graphics and physics of 2024 (if they are indeed vastly improved), but with the basic simplicity/functionality of a 2010 era flight sim.

yea, am moving straight from P3D (from years of use) to 2024 and I was going crazy trying to figure out how to do this, I cant believe they dont have this, and I really find it hard to see how this would be complicated from a dev standpoint (soft eng. here), just about any game has this feature.....

its going to suck to have the game or PC crash or something else and having to start all over!!

That's the sound of the penny dropping.

Long flights are not going to happen unless you want to leave your office space heater, er I mean, computer running all night.

Currently 10 hours into a 13 hour flight in 2024 abd my temperatures are not much different from 2020

And I don’t have some fancy water cooled or big fan setup

Fingers crossed it doesnt CTD on descent my autosave on 2020 takes care of that . Hope you spend your 10 hours glued to the screen like a real pilot . Personaly I like to see all the journey and the save function allows that to happen . Replay is meant to be built in . I have not yet purchased because of the save issue alone. Alpha tester on original sim . Has anyone tried replay and could it be a way of resuming flight in the event of a CTD or the fact the player has a life .

Pfft hell no.

I do have the Navigraph charts app on my phone though to check if my plane is still in the air/moving

I hope a Update/Fix to Save a flight is in the works.

I've been looking for a pause function that actually pauses time and fuel use. I haven't found one yet, and after searching the official forums, I don't think there is one.

(I ended up in this thread after a google search of MSFS2024 pause. I was thinking about starting a new thread but decided to just reply here instead).
