December 26, 20241 yr Hi, sorry but I'm translating, I would like to use LNM on FS2024, from the discussion I understood that for now it is only possible thanks to your work. What I did not understand are the steps to take to obtain this. Can you explain in a simple way how to do it? ..... thanks Edited December 26, 20241 yr by miki57

What I did not understand are the steps to take to obtain this. Can you explain in a simple way how to do it? ..... thanks I posted this earlier in the thread where it got a bit buried: Quote What you can do now with Little Navmap and MSFS 2024 The flight plan format (PLN) has changed. You can load Little Navmap plans in MSFS but you have to select procedures manually in the MSFS 2024 EFB. I'll adapt Little Navmap for a next release to allow loading and saving MSFS 2024 flight plans. Note that the simulator connection is not affected by any of this and for now you can still use Little Navmap for flight following using the MSFS 2020 or an Navigraph scenery library database. If you have a subscription and updated Little Navmap navdata to the latest and would like to use Navigraph Switch to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 in the menu Scenery Library. Deselect Select Automatically in menu -> Scenery Library -> Navigraph. Select Use Navigraph for all Features in menu -> Scenery Library -> Navigraph. Connect to MSFS 2024 from menu Tools -> Connect to Flight Simulator, click on tab MSFS and on Connect. Note the limitations in this mode where no aprons and taxiways are shown. If you would like to use your MSFS 2020 Scenery Library Database Switch to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 in the menu Scenery Library. Connect to MSFS 2024 from menu Tools -> Connect to Flight Simulator and click on tab MSFS and Connect. Work on the scenery library is mostly done now and now I'm looking at flight plan loading and saving. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
December 26, 20241 yr Hi Alessio thanks for the quick reply, I don't have a subscription to Navigraph, I deleted FS2020 but I saved all its database (scenarios and planes about 350Gb) in a dedicated HD. For now I don't need to make flight plans but I only do free flight, so, if you explain to me how to do these 2 steps what do you tell me: 1-Go to in the menu . Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Scenery Library 2-Connect to MSFS 2024 from the menu -> and click on the tab and . Tools Connect to Flight Simulator MSFS Connect thanks
December 26, 20241 yr Select MSFS 2020 in the menu: Then connect: Start MSFS 2024, select MSFS in LNM and click "Connect": Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
December 26, 20241 yr OK Alex I didn't understand that I have to make the connection from the LITTLE NAVMAP menu..... I'll try and let you know thanks
December 26, 20241 yr Here I am Alex, I did it, I see the path that the plane on the LNM map, after I imported the FS2020 data, in LNM it shows me all the airports but tells me that the Database is Empty. FS2024 saves the data in the Cloud and every time I reinstall LNM it automatically puts them back (even after deleting them all) and I don't have to reload them anymore. I think that to delete them completely you have to reset the cloud. The LNM map changes brightness according to the time you set in the SIM. The FS2024 scenery seems less sharp, more blurry than usual. All this because for now FS2024 receives the data in streaming, but for now we'll settle for that. The figures you posted to explain I think refer to the setting with Navigraph because with LNM it's different but in the end I managed it.

Empty database means that MSFS 2020 was not loaded and you see the plain Navigraph data. Not sure what you mean by resetting cloud and MSFS putting something back. LNM does not use the MSFS cloud since 2024 is not supported yet. I'll have a beta release supporting MSFS 2024 soonish. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

Alex Even though it works, I realized I did something wrong because I don't see the "MS2020" writing that you indicate in figure 1 and neither the "Connect FS2020" writing in figure 2. I uninstalled LNM several times. I deleted all the data of the database imported from FS2020. I reinstalled LNM that put the deleted data back without having imported it again, that's why I thought of the Xbox Cloud. At this point I'm waiting for the new version of LNV

Did you accidentally install the 32-bit version of LNM? Here is the direct download link to the latest and right one for MSFS: https://github.com/albar965/littlenavmap/releases/download/v3.0.12/LittleNavmap-win64-3.0.12-Install.exe Normally the LNM databases are not touched when uninstalling a simulator. LNM keeps these and adds a note "no sim" to the simulator menu item if there is still an old database around but the sim is missing. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
December 27, 20241 yr Hi Alex, LNM is the right one "LittleNavmap-win64-3.0.12-Install.exe" that defaults to the Naviggraph data that I deselected. I think the problem depends on the fact that I have not installed FS2020 but I took the "ABarthel" DIR from another HD where the LNV fs2020 data is and copied it to the same path as LNM c:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\ABarthel\little_navmap_db now it doesn't give me any errors and it seems to work well but I have to do other tests Edited December 27, 20241 yr by miki57

Better wait for the next beta which supports MSFS 2024. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

Alex Alex, I hope I did not ask it before. When there is LNM beta for 2024, will it still work for 2020? I mean depending on what simulator I am running before starting LNM

Of course! 🙃 You can use the same LNM and just switch between MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 12. Same for flight plan export. I added a new menu item to export plans for MSFS 2024 since the format has changed. Same added to multiexport. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
