December 28, 20241 yr I've been following this discussion since the beginning I'm looking forward to the MSFS2024-compatible beta version. Thanks to Alex for all his hard work and success Dreambox
December 28, 20241 yr Starting MSFS 2024 today brought a new surprise. All BGL files I use to read the navigation data are gone now. I have to put the project on hold now until Asobo fixes their SimConnect interface or puts the files back. https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/t/provide-readable-airport-data-for-little-navmap/11926/8?u=albar965 Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

Yep. This streaming thing really went overboard.🤷♂️ X-Plane does not look as good but unlike this BGL stuff all data formats are readable text, open, documented and stored locally. Totally honestly, I use msfs only for 2 reasons, it has ATR 72-600 which I am trying to learn and for nicer scenery. I hope that X-Plane in the future will address that, fingers crossed. Sorry for off the subject talk, Alex!

But the navdata would be incomplete due to the SimConnect limitations. Have to see. I didn't expect them to pull the BGL files out from under my feet. 🤕 Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

No rush. I am so disappointed they make things harder for people like you, it is just not right. I have the beta checked so when anything is ready for testing I will not miss it. I do have a question. When I use the LNM while flying and I land, the map zooms in a preset zoom, that can be set up in Options. Is there any kind of reverse situation setup? When I take off, I would like map to zoom out to a certain range. Is there any setting for that? I always liked the APPROACH PLATES as it was kind of learning thing and fun trying to do it right but since Navigraph is now a subscription based and quite expensive, LNM can do the same thing, except showing the plate but data is all there. I will just need to learn a bit more about how to use it. RTFM, 🤣 Thank you again for a great job you are doing for the community.

Yes there is. But you have to disable the first option (1) since both are conflicting. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
December 30, 20241 yr So easy, how did I miss it? I have to pay more attention before asking. Thank you!
January 13, 20251 yr Well, getting closer. Very close now. Still testing the flight plan stuff. Here is the changelog for your entertainment: https://github.com/albar965/littlenavmap/blob/release/3.0/CHANGELOG.txt 🙃 Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

Question, sorry if asking in wrong place, maybe should create a post for that? Is data for TPA (Traffic Pattern Altitude) and left or right hand direction taken from somewhere or user needs to verify himself? Thanks. Andrzej

Hi Andrzej, FSX, P3D and the MSFS simulators provide only pattern altitude but not the turn direction. LNM will use the given value as a default altitude when you create a pattern using "Add traffic pattern at...". The value is also shown in the information window -> Airport -> Runways tab. January 16, 20251 yr I can't seem to get LNM to load the airports in the database. Is this still broken from the sim side or is it something I am doing wrong?

Install the LNM beta, start MSFS 2024, wait for the sim main menu with the big yellow button and then load in LNM. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
