I purchased this from the Marketplace, I start it up and the stupid thing doesn't have the TDS in it, then I go to look for some kind of documentation about what to do, and their so-called manual has some cryptic one-liner.  There is supposed to be some difference if you purchased from them??  I emailed support and have heard nothing yet, I was hoping maybe someone here had gone thru this and can tell me what I need to do.  Of course it has a tablet that also doesn't work. I'd say what I think right now, but it would come out as "word not permitted" I imagine 😛

Just to check, usually the TDS GTN750 is a separate stand alone purchase from TDS that gets installed into your Community folder. I assume that is also the case with the SWS PC-12.

And what is the "cryptic one-liner" from the manual?

Sorry to be vague, I have owned the TDS GTN for a long time, so I just assumed that bit. I use it with Black Square and others.

I actually have the answer to my question... I kept digging. I will give this info just in case anyone else runs into this problem.

You need to get to their Discord server, I had tried to join and for some reason had an issue with my phone, so I couldn't post a question on their, talk about frustration 😞 However, I started looking around and I found they have a channel on there called "product-mods", that is what you need. You just download the one called SWS_PC-12_Panelmods.zip. Inside that archive are a variety of subdirectories, you select the appropriate one, drop it into your Community folder and you are good to go.

I have not yet flown, but I did load in the plane, you get the combo 750/650 with TDS 🙂  Gotta say the cockpit is just stunning, way better than the thing in 2024, which looks kind of 'cartoony' to me 😞 I'm going to give it a short flight tonight. Fingers crossed.

LOL, thanks Ryan, I did see that page, notice the part about the Marketplace... the issue was they have that bold "this page" reference, right? ... well, it didn't actually point you anywhere, so it was useless. Of course I discovered what they wanted to point to on their discord anyway. But still...

Despite careful installation of the latest versions, I am unable to complete an IFR flight. What is needed is a detailed description of the individual steps, from loading a flight plan from Simbrief (which is possible), to selecting and activating a departure procedure, arrivals and approach. As I said, I can load and create a flight plan and select procedures. I think I activated it according to the possibilities. But when I switch to NAV mode on the autopilot, nothing happens or the aircraft starts circling.

BTW. Access to TDS-Forum not poosible. Refuse to accept a normal E-Mail adress...

I use the PMS GTN, but is the GTN you are using in GPS mode when you try and switch it on the autopilot, and when you press Nav mode on the autopilot does the light come on that says Nav above the AP Nav  switch?

Yes, it's in GPS-Mode.The NAV-Light on the AP-Panel comes up.

In regards to the actual bug, please post a screenshot from within MSFS, after a flight has been loaded in the GTNXi, where the autopilot does not work as intended.

We would like to thank @bravolima for the images provided, based on our assessment of the screenshots, the flight simulator is in VLOC and not in GPS.

Because of this, the autopilot will never follow the flight plan.

The SWS PC-12 has a weird logic, in regards to always overriding the desired CDI source with its own, thus making the TDS GTNXi or even regular MSFS events unusable, hence the confusion. We suggest changing the navigation source to GPS from within the PC-12 center console mode switch, as stated in the PC-12 manual and not via the TDS GTNXi. This will provide a fully functioning autopilot.

Works the same way with the PMS GTN 750, you can't switch from Vloc to GPS  using the GTN, you have to use the Center Console Nav switch per the manual. 

 tiberiu11 from TDS helped me indeed. Thanks a lot. On my side furthermore I have to go deeper into the possibilities of automated flights in the SWS PC-12.
