In retrospective, no lack of action in X-Plane so far.  X-Plane platform patches up to 12.1.3 by itself is a big accomplishment and not to mention steady stream of new hire by Laminar Research particularly MisterX.   Here are the high profile releases/updates

  • FF 777v2
  • ToLiss 330-900
  • XCraft e-Jets upgrades
  • Rotate MD-11 Pax version
  • TorqueSim CJ 525
  • Just Flight PA-28R Turbo Arrow III/IV

Not to mention many other smaller developers releasing aircraft, airports, scenery, freeware mods, etc.  I am pleasantly surprised how much is still happening in this platforms and so much to do.

Strangely enough the biggest impact for me is X-Plane 12 in VR!  With the latest updates, better graphics and performance, I can finally fly Zibo to my satisfaction in VR.   What has been the highlight for you this year in XP?

The ToLiss A319/A320/A321 have just received decent updates as well.

I agree, we are really blessed with many updates and almost too much study-level planes that I would like to go into way deeper than I have time. And let‘s not forget that the TBM900 from HotStart should be out for XP12 around christmas, meaning very very soon. This will be another milestone 😊

As well as the default ATC, which is now much better than it was before !

Have been testing it, both in IFR and VFR, and overall I'm very well impressed.

My anti-highlight was experiencing X-Plane 12 in VR for the first time. Bad image quality, atrocious framerate and a lot of additional overhead required to get it going.

Completely opposite experience; VR interaction is fantastic and works out of the box; switches are accurate and have instant reaction. Everything in MSFS2024 is sluggish in comparison.
