I have also decided to give myself an early Christmas present and purchased the Toliss A321, to use with my VA as they (The Delta Virtual) have a custom livery for the 321 and 319.  I have wanted to become familiar with the Airbus and now that I have XP12, will definitely do so.  FPS for the Toliss A321 are even better than the Zibo 738 ~ 30-48.

You are in for a treat.

All the those buses you mention just were upgraded to the latest with ISCS interface now working in the EFB. Full functional CPDLC all ready for Vatsim and with its hoppie connection it will work through Sayintertion.Al bridge after someone had tested. There is procedure on how to set that up until Toliss intergrades it.

@fluffyflops - so far, I am satisfied with the airports I've had time to check out (KLAX, KMIA, KATL, KORD).  Not bad at all, so I don't think this will be a big deal for my needs.

I have had a little time with the Zibo Mod 738 and am quite impressed.  Frames are 28-35 at the above airports, so I'm in, for sure.

Now, I've got to relearn all keyboard commands and do a few flights very soon.

One last thing - opinions on default GA aircraft?  In particular, C172 and B58 are favorites of mine.  On quick flight tests they seem to be pretty good.

Thanks & Merry Christmas!

Actually had to think upon that one to give you an honest answer. The default C172 and behaves like the 172's I have flown for real. Thranda's C206 is good. Vskylabs Piper Pa28-140 is authentic down to the last rivet but not free. There is a great Fieschler Storch and Cessna 170B and a Subaru. Anything with a turboprop on it is covered by developers - most are good - XHangar does good stuff, accurate but not wasting a lot of time of showcase texturing.  Default Baron is good there is a payware C310 but it is the early shortnose model - nice bird! Numerous excellent BN2 Islanders. An overlooked handful is the default Stinson Sentinal. Some eclectic stuff about LETs Moravias Dornier King Air you got two choices Laminars which is very good and the payware 350 which is excellent!  Some nice Ted Smith Aerostars about free and payware! The payware pressurised 337P is gem and so is the quirky Thranda 337. Guess it is what your interested in. Even a BE23 Sundowner about!

Anyway here is to a Good Christmas.

how are the default major US airports?  Should I plan on going with 3rd party addon airport scenery instead?

The default major airports are good enough that I don't ever really notice any issues. Only time is if I've actually been there and notice the differences.

It's good enough that I don't look for payware airports unless I have a very specific desire/ "need" for one.

Best thing is to dive in and see what you think.

Then wait for a sale 😁

Just another tempting video, and addon 🙂

...

The bus dropping from the sky at 13:56 made me laugh out loud.
