December 31, 20241 yr Just did a very nice flight in the Asobo Bonanza G36 - everything was default MSFS 2024. When looking about from outside the cockpit (on the ground or in the air) there is clear, crisp, and nicely colored scenery. Looking thru the windshield from inside the cockpit - there is very little contrast, blurry images, and a bit of tint. I know this has been discussed previously and I remember "clean glass" mods being mentioned. But, if anything has changed with the last two updates - the windshield effect has worsened to the point I hardly want to fly any of the GA aircraft. I've tried altering various parameters but nothing seems to diminish the blurring and lack of contrast. I've tried changing time of day (move the sun) and heading angle to the sun - but still not nice to look thru. Is there a "clean glass" mod? Is there any other way to improve the visual quality thru the windshield? December 31, 20241 yr This is a bug that has been logged for a fix in the official forum. It affects several aircraft including the SR22. No need for a mod, just patience…
December 31, 20241 yr I have gone back to the 2020 G36, which has a clear windshield. It also has better texturing in the cockpit.. No idea why the 2024 default Bonanza and Baron are inferior to the 2020 versions.. but they are! Bert

I copied it over from my 2020 install, along with the Rob Young flight model, and for good measure, the BSQ A36 mod. See my "Bonanza lover" post.. December 31, 20241 yr Perhaps not related. But there's currently a bug where after setting windshield effects to high, it revert to medium. It's possible to get around this by setting windshield quality to 2 in usercfg.opt. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
