Objects at large distances are not displayed in MSFS. As you look into the distance, objects become less visible. My concern with your screenshot is the view of Manhattan which appears broken. In the interest of clarity, are you concerned about buildings and other structures not showing in the distance (say 20 miles away?)

My reply and screenshot to his post was simply to show the same Distance / terrain detail problem: Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
January 6, 20251 yr Just now, vonmar said: He drew a red line on his two screenshots to show where Distance was a problem. Ok, apologies. I'm still not understanding what the issue is, but that's just me. I'll leave the thread so others can help you. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

I believe he shared the problem to illustrate the issue/limitations of MSFS, and not to suggest your system was the issue. In looking at the picture of Washington, I believe that how it looks in the distance. I will take a flight just to make sure.
January 6, 20251 yr Your sim is as good as it is going to get. From Washington DC, you won't be able to see too far into Maryland, it's a sim limitation. To be able to see buildings and structures clearly, you need to be within a few miles (7-10). I tried to get as close as possible to the position where you captured the picture, and it's almost the same. A TLOD of 600 won't make much difference.

Thanks a’lot for doing the additional checks and verifying my setup is as good as I can get it. Note: When using the new Nvidia App it will "Optimize" MSFS2020 (screenshot). Nice to know it has not messed up my MSFS2020 setups on two PCs. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

I never liked the Nvidia app, it caused me some issues with performance and settings. Someone suggested that you shouldn't optimize MSFS through the app. I could be wrong but I think the Nvidia app is still in the BETA stage. But if you like it and you are not having any issues, keep it.
