January 3, 20251 yr I saw this on a real-world PA-44 "Before Engine Start" checklist and it made me chuckle, thought you all might as well: BEFORE ENGINE START Seatbelts/Harness...................FASTEN ADJUST Empty Seats.............................SECURED Prayer.......................................AS DESIRED Fuel Selectors..........................ON Trim...........................................SET ... etc. etc. It was just stuck in there amongst the many other checklist items. January 3, 20251 yr Seminole nickname was Prayer Advised. Bonanza was Doctor Killer. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
January 3, 20251 yr I always thought the V-tail Bonanza was called the 'Doctor Killer'. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
January 4, 20251 yr Yes, it was only the V-tail Bonanza that was nicknamed "Doctor killer". My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.
January 4, 20251 yr Author I have heard of "Doctor Killer" for the V-tails. But I hadn't heard of "Prayer Advised" for the Seminole, that's pretty funny for a plane designated "PA-44". I guess it could apply to the PA-28 as well but those are so docile. And the PA-38 get's it's OWN nickname. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
