One of my favorite aircraft, just love the simplicity and design of Diamond.

Already added it to the cart. Waiting for some feedback and I'm hitting Buy. 🙂

Unfortunately can't help it with this one because I never had it in Xp12 😕 but now I'm curious too 🙂

I've been waiting for this to come out for a while so happy it's now available, hopefully will have time to try over the weekend, but of course interested in feedback as well

I purchased it last night and did a quick little circuit by hand, flew really nice.

I have to read up on the autopilot which I'm not familiar with.

Isn‘t the DA42 from COWS also coming very soon to XP12? I think COWS also has an excellent reputation? Perhaps worth waiting and compare both before purchasing it?

I haven't heard any more new on this since first announcement a year ago or anything in their discord.

It was mentioned yesterday on fselite, but they only showed MFS previews and nothing from X-Plane 12.

Anyway, I bought the DA20 and have a taken a short flight. It works well, looks good and performs well. I'm not a big fan of the avionics as it seems to be fairly non-standard and I prefer steam gauges, but it's good to see an implementation of synthetic vision that works well and it doesn't drag down performance as I thought it may.

My favourite Diamond aircraft still has to be RealSimGear's DA40NG available on xaviation, it's extremely detailed, beautifully textured and is still hard to beat for me.

I located the forum post in the other site "COWS - Introducing DA42-VI & TDI" and there is an active developer there named Jacob Webb.  His last post was on Jan 2nd, 2025.  It seems the hold up is on "fully custom Garmin G1000NXi" which they are developing.

He started rewriting the Garmin because there are third parties interested in adding it to their aircraft.
