Heh, you got me beat by a decade and sometimes I’m not sure either! I have an appointment this morning that will keep me preoccupied for the next few hours but this afternoon I’ll make a few short videos of everything I did to get my PFP7 updated and what I do to make it “light up” and display the PFP7 screen with the PMDG’s PFP. I don’t have a hosting service for pics, but I can and do host videos. In the meantime maybe one of the other kind souls here on Avsim may offer you a working solution. Good luck and Blue Skies, -B

May 23, 20251 yr Author I purchased the PMDG 777-200 and I'm not sure if its compatible with my PFP7, so I just not purchased the PMDG 777-300er and from what I could see this one "IS' supposed to be compatible. Well I just tried again and "Nope" not working in this plane either. Getting to be expensive just to get this to work. I will be attending Flightsim Expo in RI next month, so I may have to wait till them and talk to the folks from WINWING there. Walt Popowski

Have you been able to see the Winwing unit on the homescreen of Simapp? If so skip to Section B: If not this would be my advice. Go ahead and uninstall Simapp so we can start fresh Not sure how easy this is for you but as @btacon mentioned, unplug as many USB devices as possible, I have my peripherals on a Hub with on/off switches on each port for this very reason... Unplug the Winwing PFP Reboot. Reinstall Simapp Plug the PFP back in (to a different port if you have one so you can see the "installing new HW" message Give it a minute and the PFP should show up on it's own on the home screen of Simapp. You may have to restart Simapp 1x If you get this far successfully then we are in good shape! If not something unrelated to MSFS is going on. Section B: Go ahead and shut down, plug your peripherals back in and restart the system. Launch simapp and verify the PFP is visible on the homescreen Launch MSFS Reselect the 777-300 and a livery Start your flight making sure you aren't using a custom panel state to be safe Once you hit fly now and the plane initializes the PFP should mirror the CDU of the 777. If not the problem is between simapp and MSFS/777. You can try updating the firmware of the PFP unit within Simapp, that sometimes helps and/or try updating simapp. I am not on the latest version so I can't confirm that version works on my end. Hopefully someone smarter has a better suggestion for you but this should at least help identify where the issue is occuring. I am mid flight or I would add screen grabs for you. -Paul Forgot to ask, do you use any other software for your HW? Like Spad for example? The reason I ask is I do and I had to disable the PFP from my Spad profile so it didn't try to control it as well as simapp. Edited May 23, 20251 yr by psolk Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

Not sure what you mean by a "Custom Panel State." I just PMDG 777-300er and have not even flown it yet so panel state should be virgin. I've made no adjustments. HW? I'm assuming Hardware, right? Thank you sooooo much. I'm hoping this will work. Appreciate all you fellow flyers do for me. Hopefully we will see you an the Tarmac in Atlanta, Denver, Louisville or other airports on MSFS. May 24, 20251 yr I agree it may be a path issue. When I first installed sim app pro I recall finding the path descriptions not as clear as they could have been. On another note, it sure would be good if winwing supported the 737max on the PFP7 given it’s closer to the button layout for the max than the PFP3.
