WINWING PFP7 MCP

Featured Replies

Purchased the Winwing PFP7. Trying to use it with the PMDG 737 and PMDG 777.  Its connected, lights up, shows WINWING in display window and installed the SimapPro. When I start MSFS 2020, select the PNMDG 737 or 777 enter the cock pit, and nothing is happening with the Winwing MCP. As if its not even connecting with the aircraft.  I did get a Key Binding message about can't find binding file from the game config folder. There are no bindings to assign to the Winwing MCP are there? Is so what might they be, and where would the file path be? Thanks, as always Walt

  • Hi Walt,  The 300 should definitely work.   Have you been able to see the Winwing unit on the homescreen of Simapp?  If so skip to Section B: If not this would be my advice. Go ahead

PFP7 is not compatible with 737. I believe you can make it compatible with mobiflight and a profile from fs.to. This currently shows what is already supported.  https://imgur.com/a/uvkq2vb

Howdy.  Funny you should ask because I’m currently on a 3 hour flight between KBAB to KMEM in the 777F and using the PFP7 as well as the WINWING FCU and EFIS.  For the PFP7 I’m using Simapp Pro, current version.  For the FCU I’m using the Mobiflight most current.  Both work as expected.  Here is a link to the MF Profile that should get you well along with FCU/EFIS if you have it.  The Simapp Pro,  current version should work OOTB for you.

I was surprised as I was expecting it to work right out of the box. I'll try this and see. Again Thank you

If you only need the PFP7 and not FCU/EFIS than the SimappPro will work without modification.  Make sure you have the latest and greatest, currently on version 1.16.48.  Make sure you activate Simapp BEFORE you start MSFS 2020.  When your Trip 7 appears and its screens light up your PFP7 should also.  If you need FCU/EFIS also, the Mobiflight mod works well but ensure you modify the PMDG configuration file as instructed by PMDG in the other link I sent.

Best,

-B

When connecting the PFP7 for the first time did you unplug all other USB devices and just left your keyboard, mouse and PFP7 plugged into the MAIN board?

Waltpop, where is that coming from, those pics, especially the one that says select a device and Filename.  My sim app pro has nothing like that.

PFP 7 over Simapp does work with the 777-300 and the 772F speaking for MSFS2020, the 772 Pax does not work at the moment but pritty shure to come with next updates..

The PFP 7 does not work with the 737 series, at least not yet..

Only speaking for SimAppPro !

cheers 😉

Not really sure now if I did or not. I thought I did, but I'm 78 so that might say something.
