Same in my case - nowhere near what I observe in many shots 😕  to the point of feeling it was a waste of €€€ 😕

You don’t need this if using simheaven.

So, there are basically two options:

1) Place Global above all SimHeaven entries, irrespective of disabling the SH Forests or not, but always having the Vegetation Libtrary too;

2) Place Global bellow SH but then in order to get GF to come into view the SH forests must be disabled.

In my case I :

.) DISABLED all layer 7 SimHeaven forests;

.) Placed GF bellow all SH entries in the ".ini", including SH Forests Library;

but I still don't see a big difference honestly, at least around here in Portugal. In my aerodrome ( LPMN ) GF displays no trees and if I disable it I can even get some from SH...

Same here.  In the UK with that scenery_packs.ini I get a quarter of the trees I see with SimHeaven.  The trees are so sparse I have downloaded and installed GB several times thinking there was an installation issue.

Hi,

Go have a look at SBEG in Brazil, that's where I shot the video. You should see a big difference. What airport did you do your tests, I'll have a look myself. Maybe it's just missing data for that region.

LPMN is a good reference, a small airfield in southern Portugal.

Funny I get no airport in XP12 putting in LPMN. I did go to LPMA, didn't see any difference in tree quantity between Sim-Haven and Global forest.

Interesting, I use GB on the XP-12 and I'm following this thread and when I saw your post I did a test in LPMN and noticed that it has no trees too. 

Is this an addon airport. XP12.2b6 tells me the airport doesn't exist. 

UPDATE: I found the issue. Airports were set to usable instead of all. Let me have a look.

Not that there are many around there, but still ...

Has been in Xp since Xp11 ... I have it and use only default scenery...

Hi,

Okay, other than the area (LPMN) being scarce of trees, I see no difference between Sim-Haven Trees and Global Forest V2 as far as quantity is concerned, placement is identical. I did however see much improvement with Global Forest V2 in Brazil when I went to SBEG.

I just picked up Global Forest for XP12 and I'm unable to install it via OrbX Central.

It gives installations errors for both the libraries and Global forest.

It also suggest to "Verify Files" but the same error occurs.

I am trying to install directly to XP12 directory.

Any tips?

I was able to install it after deleting and reinstalling OrbX Central and running XP12 once.
