June 6, 2025Jun 6 In my understanding, unlike PMDG aircrafts or IniBuilds A350, it is not possible to update the navadata of the Fenix A320 through the in-game tablet or CDU. It is mandatory to download and install the Navigraph Hub software. Is that correct? I'm on FS2024. https://support.fenixsim.com/hc/en-us/articles/12458972723087-How-do-I-update-my-Navdata-using-Navigraph#:~:text=To update your Fenix Navdata,be able to do this. June 6, 2025Jun 6 You need to use the Navigraph hub to update the Navigraph AIRAC cycle anyway, so it’s a simple matter to update the Fenix or other aircraft at the same session. They update in just seconds.

June 6, 2025Jun 6 I personally prefer the hub than doing it in game. I have a folder on my desktop of all the programs used to update various items. Just open them all at once and do updates. Much easier than remembering to do it after the plane has loaded, For me, anyway, Cheers. Matt Webb

If you use the Hub for an aircraft that has the EFB option, you might find that various approaches and other procedures could come up missing or corrupted. In beta testing Version 2.1 of the Aerosoft CRJ (which now has the EFB option) we found that to be the case. I believe the option to update PMDG 777s via the Hub has been removed by Navigraph. There is still an option to update the CRJ version 2.0 via the Hub, but I would recommend only doing updates via the EFB. The reason (at least in the CRJ) is a file called “layout.json” which is an index to where all the navdata files are located, and their exact size. If you update via the EFB that file will be correct. If you update via the Hub, it might be corrupted. I assume a similar situation exists in the PMDG 777 series. June 7, 2025Jun 7 I believe that the Hub cannot be used to update nav databases of add-on aircraft in XBox, hence the need to develop the EFB interface for the update function. At least that's the explanation that has been offered by PMDG for its 777 aircraft.
