How to import a flightplan in MSFS2024

Featured Replies

I have made a flightplan in Little Navmap and then I exported it as MSFS2024 flightplan. But how do I import it in MSFS2024 ? I see no option to do that.

 The ability is within the EFB

This should get you there,

And here I learn that I should send data with options atc and avionics. If I send to avionics should not the flightplan be inserted in the GPS ? That did not happen for me. In my case it was BS Piston Duke

I don't have Duke but,

What i do is,

Once everything is ready, I start at my departure airport (In cockpit), Once the plane is up and running, Parked and warming up, (Including all avionics etc...), I then open EFB, Load flight plan from PC  and send to avionics. If you use 2024 ATC, Send to avionics and ATC. I use

sayintentions so i just send to avionics. Hope that helps. I have found if you do it from world map before you spawn, for me it usually wont load it. I'm on SU3 Beta by the way.

The Duke does not yet have the updated 2024 (V2) avionics that are compatible with the EFB. For 2020 avionics running in 2024, you can use the EFB on the worldmap and the File With ATC function in the EFB planner app. As long as you have filed before starting the flight, the 2020 avionics should work as they did before and load the plan at the start of the flight.

But from what I understand I have no 2020 avionics in BS Duke

The BlackSquare Dukes are all equipped with 2020 avionics. These models have not been upgraded to 2024 standard yet.

Tried that but still I can't get the flightplan into the GPS

This should be fixable... which GPS have you selected in the panel?

Update: I just tried it with the GNS530 in the Duke and did not get the flight plan either.. Hmm, will investigate and report back.

OK, I found a fix for GNS530 version.  If that is what you are using, open up the panel folder for the variant that you want to fly, and edit the panel.cfg file as follows:

[VCockpit01]
size_mm                = 320,234
pixel_size            = 320,234
texture                = $GNS530Screen
;htmlgauge00=NavSystems/GPS/WT530/WT530.html, 0, 0, 320,234
htmlgauge00=NavSystems/WTGNSv2/WT530/WT530.html, 0 ,0 , 320, 234

This updates the GNS to the 2024 version.

If this works for you, you can do the update for each of the variants and you have a working solution.

There are several panel.xxx folders, one for each variant.

Where ? I am unable to locate them. Tried search panel and got a lot of hits but nothing that I can relate to the Duke. Some panel.cfg contained only the text this file is empty

I have MSFS2024 (purchased from XBOX) installed here

F:\MSFS2024\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Content

and there are no Community folder there. There is a Community folder on the C drive which has some aircraft entries but no black square plane
