I predict VR Flight Sim Guy's jaw will drop in amazement !

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Works well. No big change. Tracks very well.

This looks like a great update compared to what we've had with the last few.  I've all but given up on VR concerning Pimax but now things seemed to be ironed out.  I won't be uninstalling this update anytime soon unless I'm forced to.😶

Has anyone else tried this to get better performance i wonder...?

After waaayyyy too much tinkering, my system was just a mess... VR performance was horrid... so i uninstalled Pimax Play completely.. all settings etc... and deleted my UserCFG.opt (after making a backup of course) and restarted using all default settings...

For some reason, things were smooth again... i did make a couple tweaks here and there like turning off traffic etc but mainly left it at default..

Its very odd that this really helped and apparently no loss in visual fidelity... i had thought my tweaks were good but maybe too much tweaking here and there actually detriments performance?

Could have been also a fresh install of Pimax Play?

Anyone else found this approach to be helpful?

installed the update and upgraded to the latest Pimax BIOS 1.7

first quick test: everything working fine so far with latest MSFS 2024 beta SU3 Beta 1.5.9.0

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

FYI, I just installed this update over the last one and saw the improvements.  All my tweaking that I initially did months ago was not touched trying to resolve the last three Pimax updates that clearly were bad.  I just got frustrated and put the headset down ready to move on to the small form factor headsets that will be released down the road, but Pimax clearly brought this headset back to life. It's tracking options are simplified now and working better which is the real upside to this new update.  FS2020 is running great in VR once again (still has issues over detailed add-on scenery/airports causing a delay when turning my head but nothing like before).  I find I just have to use the headset now with areas that have little to no complex add-on airports (fighter/carrier operations, GA, or warbirds, etc), some smaller isolated scenery have no problem, but most do. Corporate or Airliners flying is out (this could mean I just need a more powerful PC/GPU).  After these last few terrible updates, I will not be so quick to upgrade unless I have too. The last three Pimax updates burned me so bad I almost completely gave up the CL.😐

1) this, - I am happy with the fluidity of my RTX 4090

2) same here, plus summer is not my preferred season for simming anyway. 😄

I have the Crystal OG and staying with 2020. Is this update good for that ???
