Does the Fenix A320 work properly in 2024?

this may have been because the throttle moved away from 'CLB' mode.

That will do it. You'll want that to stay in CLB mode.

Fenix works great in 24 and I saw someone mention the Max8 from Ifly.  Yep, that works great too. Jase

I bought the Fenix A320 to fly shorter routes until the PMDG 737 is released for 2024.  I spent a lot of time studying how to fly it because I have never flown an Airbus apart from the Inibuilds A350, which I think is fantastic.

Most flights I have some sort of problem like warnings on the front panel, The latest I had today was an overspeed during cruise, this may have been because the throttle moved away from 'CLB' mode.  Anyway I do not enjoy flying this aeroplane due to the many problems I'm having, so have just deleted it from my hard drive.

It's a shame to hear that. If you want to give it another try, I'm sure there's a lot of people here who would be happy to help. I think it's likely the issues you are seeing have to do with specifics of the way the A320 is operated, rather than deficiencies of the Fenix product (which in my experience runs great in MSFS 2024).

Me too, but also we now have I-Fly 737 MAX 8 and it's a great plane and many like it more than PMDG offerings.  I use it and it's great in 2024.

Do you remember what runway, and where you were going? I know Boston well enough I can figure out the SID.  Most likely it was PATSS7 or  SSOX7

Turned out it was my Cessna Trim Wheel which I use for rudder and ground steering control as I don't use pedals.  W/o much dead zone I was slightly off centered and that was why AP would not engage.  IOW, my bad!

Only that most operators don't fly the MAX on shorter routes but rather on mid-range flights. Because that is where the extra fuel savings really come into play.
