July 2, 2025Jul 2 As the title suggests, looking for a Heathrow so I can fly in for Silverstone F1 this weekend. Looking around it seems ini is the only player in town outside of the Asobo handcrafted. Are there any other Heathrow renditions? How is performance/graphics on the ini version? I thought I had read about performance issues on approach with EGLL but happy to be told I'm wrong. Thanks in advance for the advice/suggestions Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
July 2, 2025Jul 2 I believe so for MSFS besides the default or premium offerings... Heathrow surroundings makes it not easy for a major hub and performance that said I'm happy for a large hub and performance here local... Then we have the factor of AI which plays a role too with the same settings Edited July 2, 2025Jul 2 by virtualstuff André

July 2, 2025Jul 2 In real life many choose to fly into EGBB Birmingham which is not too far away. Rob Jones.

Is there a good Birmingham scenery that is better than the ini EGLL? I'm not familiar with Macco or Boundless who seem to be the two dev's that have done EGBB One of the great things about flying race to race simulating the F1 and MotoGP seasons are all the fabulous sceneries and locations i've been forced to fly to which I never would have "chosen" on my own that turned out to be spectacular! You can say it's forced me to expand my horizons... Edited July 2, 2025Jul 2 by psolk Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
July 2, 2025Jul 2 @psolk is it for 2020 or 2024? I moved to 2024... 2020 https://forum.inibuilds.com/forum/179-support/ 2024 https://forum.inibuilds.com/forum/616-support/ Both gives you an idea from other users ... André

Thanks Andre... 2020 still over here and that is quite the list of issues. Just my opinion but I'm not totally surprised to see the list of issues which is why i had some reservations to begin with, ini seems to fall short on both details and performance sometimes. Just my opinion though and unless there is a REALLY good EGBB to fly into I will stick with ini and EGLL... Man I wish Gary and UK2000 did an EGLL for 2020/24 Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

In 2024 (EGKK/EGSS/EGLC/EGGW) all London area As for the race I believe Birmingham is close by and Luton Edited July 2, 2025Jul 2 by virtualstuff André
July 2, 2025Jul 2 Author Thanks Andre! Greatly appreciate the feedback, thank you again. Looks like it will be EGLL for me. Guess I will pick up some virtual fruit pastilles and smarties while I am there 😁 Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
July 2, 2025Jul 2 There are even two helipads available in the sim directly at the course. One for Aston Martin and one for the Emergency Services. And the nearest Airport that services intnernational is indeed Luton. Or you fly a private jet to EGTC Cranfield. https://de.flightsim.to/file/6905/cranfield-airport-egtc Edited July 2, 2025Jul 2 by Farlis

July 2, 2025Jul 2 I can recommend the MSFS 2020 version. Whilst the alignment of the runway centreline markings could do with an upgrade (I have informed them with screenshots), I am impressed with the level of detail, and even more impressed with the performance. Plenty of people criticised the performance in the early days after release, but I can honestly say that it runs surprisingly well on my 2015 specification PC. There is a huge amount of detail being displayed in the London area on my PC (including several other payware airports close by), but my hero i5 7600k CPU does an awesome job running it all I do not have a full AI environment active (no animated planes), but I do use my massive AIG database for static aircraft, so there can be well over a hundred AIG aircraft models parked at the airport. On a side note, Pyreegue are developing a version of EGBB Birmingham. I am just hoping that it is released for both versions of the simulator. I think that we can all agree that this is going to be something special. Pyreegue is synonymous with excellence in my book.
