X-Aviation not connecting on X-Plane 11

Featured Replies

For the past 5 days, onX-Plane 11, when trying to update the X-Aviation license, I've been getting this Gizmo64 message (can't find how to insert an image here) saying "Failed to connect to x-aviation.com port 443: Timed out". Of course it was working fine. I've checked on some "site checkers" and the site seems to be online, but I can't connect to x-aviation.com (on the browser too). And consequently I can't use the IXEG 737. Two windows on the upper roght corner - "License Expired, please connect to the internet" (??) and "License Data Invalid".

Help?

Do you live in Brazil?

Yes.

We think your country has blocked some traffic from the United States.  We're not sure why.

You will be able to connect with a VPN.  We've had people use the free version of Proton VPN with some success, but you might have to try several different VPN's.  I can't offer more information than that, but this is what has worked for people in your situation.

I'm using windows 10. Just went to x-aviation site: "

This site can’t be reached

www.x-aviation.com took too long to respond.

FWIW well tried it as matter interest as I have the 737 - no issues connecting or checking my model is the latest. 20/07/2024 at @0800Z.

Flush your DNS, if that doesn't bring any harm to specific stuff...

Open a CMD and give it:

> ipconfig   /flushdns

Try again afterwards.

If you're using a dynamic IP, which is most surely the case if home Internet, then check which it is by going to, among many options, "whatsmyip.org" and then check the reputation of your IP, using for instance CISCO Thalos, and see if the IP is blacklisted at more than one databases...

Some services filter access based on IP reputation bellow a given threshold, and if that's the case with X-Aviation (I don't guess...) then that might be the cause...

Thanks, I'll try that. I did mess with a fixed IP app - or site - (to get my home networl to work) some time ago, so maybe that screwed things up. I'll post later.

Flushing dns didn't fix it. Checked my IP and got 0 (zero) blacklist sites. On another site (wahtsmyipaddress.com I got 11 blacklisted status. I have no idea how to mess with these things.
