August 21, 2025Aug 21 Hey @Matthew Kane, here's a website that might interest your colleague: https://www.roadsideamerica.com/ Thinking about whimsical art reminded me of something that didn't start out that way but ended up as hilarious. In the late 1960s, Bank of America built their world headquarters building at 555 California St. here in San Francisco. They commissioned an artwork titled "Transcendence", made from a 200 ton block of black Swedish granite. A local columnist, Herb Caen, saw and nicknamed it "Banker's Heart" and the name instantly stuck and it's still known as that today. Total self-own by the bank 🤣. https://artandarchitecture-sf.com/bankers-heart.html

I've visited a couple of the spots in WV. The radio telescope in Greenbank is truly a sight to behold. It's 100m across. I believe it's still the largest in the world. Still no Mothman though😉 Edited August 21, 2025Aug 21 by tdflightsim Typos Tom MAKA = Make America Kind Again

Polly is early 20s and has been working for me since she was 18, and has been saving up for her OE (Overseas Expedition) which is common for young people from New Zealand, because when you grow up here you don't have the luxury of driving a few states over or a quick flight for a weekend getaway. So young Kiwis save up and take two to three years world adventure to see everything before coming back to settle down. She is planning a one year working holiday for Germany followed by time in the USA. Then hopefully come back and work for us again because she is awesome I've done my share of North American Road Trips but I strongly support Polly taking that time to see as much of it as possible. To be young again and see what the world has to offer. Van Life sounds like a great option as well lots of young people doing that too. Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
