August 22, 2025Aug 22 I'm just curious if there is a way to scale down the size of the runway and taxi lights 3d model in FS2020 or FS2024. They are too big. Intel i9 13900KS @ 5.8GHz - MSI MEG Z790 ACE Gaming - MSI RTX 4090 Suprim X - Corsair 96GB DDR5 6400MHz @ 6600MHz Dominator Titanium RGB - 2x Samsung 2TB 980 Pro + 3x 4TB 990 Pro M.2 SSD Raid 0 - LG 4K 55" OLED C1 - EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 T2 PSU
August 22, 2025Aug 22 There is definitely something unnatural about them... they seem to quickly bloom and get fuzzy - like out of focus or blurry or something. It's horrible.
August 22, 2025Aug 22 After SU3 was released, I had seen a post that claimed the totally artificial look of runway and taxiway lights had been fixed so I checked it out. Perhaps some improvement in their appearance but still fall short what these lights look like IRL and in MSFS 2020, which has far superior runway and taxiway lights. zachlog
August 22, 2025Aug 22 Yes, Runway & Taxiway lighting looks very fake. I don't think it's just the "illumination of the light". The fixtures themselves hardly look real, sometimes the placement is wrong as well. Dare I say XP12 is far superior in this regard.

August 23, 2025Aug 23 Msfs had always had terrible lights. Beyond the actual quality. The ai application of lights just looks weird. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
