Thanks Anthony You are looking for a file named hosts found in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc the etc at the end is a folder - I originally mistook it for a comment by the author of the article AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D / MSI X870 Tomahawk Mobo / 64 GB DDR5 memory / RTX 4070 Super with 12 GB VRAM / AORUS FO48U 4k display NVMe for Drive C, an NVMe device dedicated to Flight Sim 2024 and a separate NVMe device for Flight Sim 2020 and an NVMe dedicated to 500GB of addons managed by AddonsLinker / 1 GB Comcast Xfinity Internet connection / HP Reverb G2 / Tobii 5 Head & Eye Tracking

Thanks for the help Anthony Don’t delete it. And make a backup copy of it before you modify it. What @tacomasailor was saying earlier in their post was that MSFS Zendesk Help asked them to modify it. If you delete the file, it can cause problems for you with Windows. And also, if you delete the wrong entries in it, it can also cause problems in Windows. Just follow tacomasailor’s post and what entries to delete and be accurate with the entries you delete. If you have problems with Windows afterwards, then restore the backup copy of it that you made. August 26, 2025Aug 26 Yes I didn't delete file because what he showed wasn't in my files anywhere. That is why it's weird I still get the 97% lockup when loading. I am still working on the AIG traffic maybe being my cause of the problem so I'll keep posting once I figure it out. Thanks Anthony Anthony Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHZ, 32 GB ram, win 11, gtx 4070 Super
August 26, 2025Aug 26 Just an update, my issue is definitely caused by AIG traffic being active in my community folder. Not sure why but I am still working to figure it out. I use addon linker and when I have AIG linked msfs 2024 stops at 97%, without it linked it loads in a normal time. I'll keep trying to find solution. Hope this might help someone who is having this problem. Thanks Anthony Anthony Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHZ, 32 GB ram, win 11, gtx 4070 Super
August 26, 2025Aug 26 Update, tried loading the AIG folder directly into my community folder(no addon linker) I still get locked at 97% with the aig traffic active. Still working on it. Anthony Anthony Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHZ, 32 GB ram, win 11, gtx 4070 Super
August 26, 2025Aug 26 I am waiting for an idea from AIG about how to fix this problem with stuck at 97% loading, I have loaded all the planes from scratch again and still it locks msfs 2024 both in the community folder and linked through addon linker. If anyone has any ideas that would be great. Thank you Anthony Anthony Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHZ, 32 GB ram, win 11, gtx 4070 Super
