No ramp traffic / vehicles since SU3 (MS2024)

Featured Replies

Hi All.
I'm guessing it's just me but since applying SU3 I don't see any background airport service vehicles operating. I know some of the MS Options reset/changed in SU3, but I've been through them all and can't see anything obvious. Anyone got any thoughts please? Thanks

same question - it´s not settings related !!

After Sim Update 3, settings that affect airports are managed through global graphics and traffic options that control the density of objects and AI traffic in the entire world, including airports.

Airport-relevant global settings

The following options found in the game's General Options > Graphics and Traffic settings are the most relevant for how airports look and perform:
  • Characters Quality: Sets the level of detail for animated ground crew and passenger models at airports.
  • Traffic Airport Quality: Adjusts the quality of ground vehicles, such as fuel trucks, service vehicles, and pushback tugs.
  • Fauna Density: While not strictly airport-specific, this can affect animals in surrounding areas.
  • Ground Aircraft Density: Controls the number of static (parked) aircraft at airport gates and aprons.
  • Air Traffic: Adjusts the amount and type of AI-controlled aircraft on the ground and in the air.
  • Road Traffic: Controls vehicle traffic on nearby roads, though road traffic is excluded from airport perimeters.
  • Off Screen Terrain Pre-Caching: Set to Ultra to prevent stutters while quickly panning the camera at airports.
We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

In my case is the setting on ultra - but they are "static aircraft" and aircraft traffic bounded - so if you disable these and use f.e. addon traffic - you don´t see the ground crews - MSFS2024 limitation (again) !

If using BATC for ATC and Traffic injection I set all "Quantity" entries to OFF, otherwise if using default FS 2024 Traffic I set them to LOW, and I do see all types of objects at the airports.

Hi,

Same issue here, i am using GSX, fsltl traffic and Self Loading Cargo, everything up to date but there is no more ground traffic arround AI traffic.

Can someone share his setting  please ?

Thank you
