FENIX EFB Wont Connect After Latest Update

Featured Replies

Anyone else having issues with the FENIX EFB not connecting after the latest update?

I don't have this issue, but I  guess in your case some antivirus or windows defender may block it

You are correct, I meant to update to say I am confident this is an antivirus issue, but I am trying to determine what has changed since the last version. What additional files need to be "allowed / permitted"?

Not sure exactly what you mean by the FENIX EFB not connecting after the latest update. If you mean that the EFB screen is blank - then try pushing the EFB 'On' button (middle of left hand edge of the EFB) - it works for me.

I can only assume he refers to the remote EFB through your local network. And yes, that could very well be a antivirus issue

Hi again - I think we had this issue before - IIRC you use Webroot?

In which case the following .exe I found were missing after the update and should be added to the Webroot "PC Security- Block/allow files"

"Fenix.exe" (in FenixSim A320 Folder)

"FenixDisplay.exe" (in FenixSim A320/deps folder)

"FenixSystem.exe" (In the same folder as above)

After which I had to go back into Webroot (Click "Utilities/System Control/Start") this will show the active processes. I noted that the above 3 .exe files were present but were under "monitor" - I changed them to "allow". I got the EFB back after that.
