Wrong runway.

When I pick an airport in the world map and zoom in and click on ie rw 09 and choose that as departure, it always picks the opposite rw (27), and it doesn't matter which airport it is. And when I click Start (Fly) it places me on the rw (27) ready for take off. Is that something you also have experienced?

I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do.

Yes, I have had this happen, pretty sure its specific to some airports, but I've not tried debugging it as the only time I actually spawn on a runway is when I don't care, am maybe just checkout some aspect of a plane, in any flight that matters I start at a gate, cold and dark.

It will put you on the most wind-favorable runway regardless of what you choose from what I have experienced...

That's probably it, I haven't checked that, but I will now. Thanks.

If you enabled "ATC Enforce Flight Plan" under Assistances, does that fix it? I would test myself, but am in the middle of a long flight.

Some airports have a preferred runway that they use even if it is slightly downwind and will not change to the reciprical runway unless the downwind componant exceeds a specific value.

Also if you are using real weather and then change the time of day after you select your takeoff airport, the wind direction or strength may have changed.
