Is MSFS setting a new graphical standard for custom airports

I only buy simulators and add-ons to see if I can melt my GPU wires and make me wish I had 96GB VRAM … bring the high res textures, mind boggling geometric count, and ray trace everything … can’t get enough of it.

I was a bit disappointed when I went to the Coffee bar at PDX and there was no interface for me to order a Latte … I can’t fly without my coffee.

But, since MSFS 2024 culls (aka doesn’t render) so many near field objects, in most case you’ll not see the interior until you right next to the gate so their is little to no performance impact.  I don’t have SU4 Beta so I’m hoping the culling issue has been modified/fixed (somewhat concerned I don’t see this being addressed in any of the Beta release notes) because that DOES actually impact my flight when the Taxi sign doesn’t render and ATC telling me to use a Taxi way … have to use LNM or Navigraph to confirm because MSFS 2024 hasn’t rendered the sign yet.

I saw this thread that is comparing MSFS custom paid airports to the custom paid airports of the competition:

Just reading through the comments in that thread, seems like if you frequently buy custom paid airports in MSFS, the grass is greener on our side.

I visited RW Profiles EGNT Newcastle for the first time this morning. Great looking airport. Some of the texture work and detail reminds me of the Pyreegue airports, and you cannot get higher praise than that. Even better, the performance is extremely good on my 2015 specification PC

as real as it gets.

"Baron 321 is unfamiliar with the airport, requesting progressive taxi"

did that once or twice at real airports.
