Does anyone have an explanation for why miniCOCKPIT has increased its prices for US customers by a staggering 60%? The Mini FCU is now over $400 USD for US customers. I remember reading something about tariffs being imposed, but they’re based in Hong Kong and only face around a 10% tariff, so I’m struggling to understand how that justifies a 60% price hike. Unless it's spite, which isn't a really good business strategy.

Honestly, this makes my move to WinWing a lot easier...their FCU is still around $150 USD. There’s nowhere near a $250 difference in quality between the two products…not even close.  I am somewhat concerned about using WinWing interface...

I use Mobiflight.  There are a lot of MF profiles for the Winwing FCU on fs.to already.

See https://flightsim.to/explore/Winwing fcu

And it's easy to make your own ones:

The worst of the bunch as far as I have seen is UPS.  If you live in the US and are having something delivered from overseas or even Canada UPS conveniently imposes ~40% surcharge for doing the same thing they were doing all along as a broker but they used tariffs as an excuse to absolutely rip people off.

I had an $1100 piece of HW that had an almost $800 fee imposed and last week had a simple $95 product delivered and UPS would not leave until i wrote them a check on the spot for $45 in fees...

This is all AFTER the shipper has paid their fees of course.  Unfortunately even if you reject the package they consider the fee a bill and you will end up in collections if you don't pay it...

Hands down the worst of the bunch and I won't buy anything anymore unless they can arrange alternate shipping.

Absolute rip off....

I have the miniFCU + EFIS, but if I were buying one today, I’d go for the Wingflex FCU + EFIS cube instead. It’s the same size as the miniFCU (about 80% scale), but it also includes master warning and caution buttons, plus adjustable backlight and display brightness. I think it's available on Amazon US so no tariffs as far as I'm aware.

Same... if i had the choice... in fact i will be selling this EFIS and FCU for the Wingwing product...

Do you really need the effects of tariffs on prices explained to you?

Delivered as ordered, I'd say. 😉

It seems you have difficulties with basic Math.

What do you want? That's the tariff cost to import the good. I imagine minicockpit is catching a few of the various tariffs on China right now. The price is the posted msrp for non Americans.
