  • Yep...the problem with AR in the Blackbird was rooted in the fact that the SR was essentially taking gas while wallowing in slow flight, while the Q-model tanker that refueled them was red-lining it r

Hmm... $35 at Alpha release, $60 when it goes Golden.

Has been working out pretty well with their Dirty 30, so count me in

fwiw, I'll skip the '80s Beale AFB - I like the new one just fine

I wasn’t going to get this, wasn’t sure what I’d do with it.  But after reading about it here, and the discounted initial buy in, I’m game!

Just wait for the reviews, the scenery is really nice and has a lot of historical details. The beta team had a few people on it who were stationed there in the 80s. They contributed a lot of detailed feedback and photographs. One of them is now included at his old station (the tower). My favourite detail is a writing in Russian on one of the roofs 🙂

The SR71 was a mindboggling but real machine.  Anyone can set high 'power scalar' values in a CFG file to get ridiculously high speed.   Creating something that really existed, with a high degree of fidelity, is a different ball game.

That thing is the perfect aircraft for Avangel's channel though 😊

Sometimes it is more fun to look at what may be possible.  Imagination is fun.

The TMS F-22 or YF-23 may be of interest to you.
the IRL aircraft have, and I quote from the USAF, literally “care free” handling.
