You have three errors at addresses nearly adjacent to each other, suggesting a bad spot in one of the ICs. A solid confirmation would be to rerun MemTest86 and see if it throws errors in the same area. That said, though, nothing to be lost by trying to bump the voltage by a few hundredths of a volt...no more than +.05v. The memory I've been buying for years now (GSkill) has a lifetime warranty. Is it possible yours is covered by warranty? December 12, 2025Dec 12 Author I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!! I went to my local store and purchased a rubber (steady USA, an eraser) for £1.25 ($1.67). I removed both sticks of memory and gently rubbed all the contacts. I checked the DIMM slots again for any sign of debris. Re-inserted the memory and booted into MemTest86 - IT ONLY PASSED THE TEST after 2h 45m 🤩 With memory prices as they are, I am over the moon!!! December 12, 2025Dec 12 Author First flight in XP12 with... Global Forests. SimHeaven. Map Enhancement Tool. XP12 crashed with the same errors as before - BUT, the PC has not crashed in a few hours - longest period it has remained on. So I am still baffled with XP crashing with so few addons running. I'll have to run XP with no addons. Try without MapEnhancement - I believe the way it works is continuously downloading new data from the internet - and it will slowly max out your memory...and if there is a weak spot, it is bound to happen upon it eventually.
December 12, 2025Dec 12 So you had one crash more or less immediately and not again so far…? did you have a chance to experiment with Bobs voltage reco…? P.s.: does it still CtD with ortho or TrueEarth vs ME? Edited December 12, 2025Dec 12 by UrgentSiesta

December 20, 2025Dec 20 I don’t believe I saw it mentioned where overheating might be a culprit. Are all your fans running properly? Do you need to clean out dust?
